For the love of god don't go to the Visa Approved FB page. It primarily for Filipinas and they will ask the same question every SINGLE DAY: Does anybody know when the USEM will open up? Even though it clearly states and is repeatedly said by me July 3rd

Like every 3 to 4 hours someone asks the same thing lol the best thing people should do is check their embassy/consulate Website and the US Department of State Consular Affairs Facebook page.

I think everyone is just in a rush to be united with their loved ones. However, they aren’t the only ones and need to stop acting as if someone can wave a fairy wand and make it go by faster. The visa process requires a TON of  patience pandemic or not. also no one truly knows as things can change at the drop of the hat. so it’s just better to follow all the local websites for that country instead of constantly asking left and right.

Try to understand the stress this COVID 10 and subsequent freeze on Visa's is causing in a  relationship.  Daily my loving, sweet and caring Filipino fiance tells me of post in a FB page in the Philippines about SLEC, Visa approval and International travel.  I try my very best to tell here to listen to official State sponsored Official information, but it is difficult because of the strain this is placing on us as a couple who has invested a lot of time and money.

I understand the stress as I’m in the visa process with my fiancé. My fiancé and I realized that reading forums and scrolling would induce our panic even worse. It’s just best to think of it as a process pandemic or not that will eventually hit the end and we will be reunited. As difficult as it is emotionally, financially and physically at the end of the day it’ll be worth it. Sadly, no one on forums will have the correct info as they don’t work for the DOS and if they post incorrect info it gets someone hopes up.

I think what bothers me the most is someone can act as if there’s no pandemic and it’s only them.when there’s hundreds if not thousands of us in the same boat

Its understandable why people ask though, there is no information out there the worst thing is sitting at the final stage without a clue as to how long it will be.

I am in England so its the London Embassy, non essential shops are open here, garden centres, zoos, cinemas on 10th July, pubs, hotels and cafes  apparently at the beginning of July.  You would think the embassy could give us an indication at least, you can queue outside Primark, go to the zoo and buy a lawnmower but not have a visa interview with one of the parties behind a screen!, they were pretty much set up for this before the blooming pandemic.  Its just incredibly frustrating, the last time the London Embassy updated their site was on 5th June

In response to significant worldwide challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of State has temporarily suspended routine visa services at all U.S. Embassies and Consulates. Embassies and consulates have canceled all routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments as of March 20, 2020, but will continue to provide emergency and mission-critical visa services as resources and local conditions allow.  We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.

Yes that's information I agree, but its basically the embassy saying we have no guidance on when we are reopening, I am referring to information or an indication as to when this will be, I think the rest of my post made that clear.  I know this doesn't really relate to you as it seems you finished the process a while ago.

The UK government have and are continuing  to provide guidance on when things will reopen (or things already have), that's the information I am hoping the embassies will provide to us soon.

Don't expect any movement until the travel ban is lifted.

YMMV
