Visa interview waiver

How do I know if I can qualify for a visa interview waiver if all my documents have been approved and me and my husband(applicant) are stuck in India? We cannot return to Korea currently where we have lived. If he was allowed to go to the US we would go directly from India especially given the unique circumstance.

What country are you to interview in? Have you received an approved NOA2 from USCIS? Who is the petitioner and who is the beneficiary? He is not your husband if you are filing a K-1 but you haven't completed your profile so we can't tell. Calling him husband can get you denied for a K-1 visa. 

 

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. We have received our NO2. We are are currently in India but are scheduled to have our interview completed in Seoul, Korea. However, we are currently stuck in India where there is still a lockdown. We can't leave because the US flights require passengers to present proof of residence or citizenship.

 

The petitioner is a US citizen and my husband is South African.

Thank you for updating your profile and adding the additional information. I could only assume that you were chasing a K-1 visa because you are in a thread that addresses questions of the K-1 nature not the CR-1 cases. Visa interview waiver?   I have never heard of such.  I expect you will have to wait until you can return to Korea.

Are you tourists in India at this time? There are no waivers for the visa interviews.
