We submitted our application on May 2018. Several month later we finished the biometrics and received our 18 months extension.

On March 2019, our case was transferred from Vermont service center to Potomac

And on March 2020, we received the RFE notice and the office confirmed on April 1st that they received our supplementary evidence.

I heard before that the normal processing time after the confirmation of RFE was 60 days but until now we haven't heard anything back from USCIS yet. Tried online inquiry and called USCIS but none of them give useful information

Wondering if anybody here can share your precious experience since we are in great anxiety right now, thank you!

I have seen several cases from the end of 2018 that were transferred from various service centers to Potomac and that haven't had any movement at all since. Almost seems like a transfer to Potomac is bad news. 😲

Mine was transferred to Texas than I got an RFE asking for more evidence (turns out my ROC evidence got lost) sent that in and than it was crickets for a short while. Than got the interview letter for the local office. Had the interview and than heard nothing from them for several months. I ended up filing my N400 to get things unstuck and eventually my IO for the N400 was able to approve my ROC. Apparently my original k1 entry envelope never made it into my file and they had to wait for that before they could approve the ROC.

During this time I was unable to get any useful info from anybody at USCIS other than "they are working on it" or "you need to wait a few more days".

With the whole Covid thing, it may take even longer than before, but you could consider filing the N400 (if you are able to and were planning on filing) to get things unstuck again. Just be aware that the moment you receive the NOA for the N400, your file will be making it's way to the NBC to be processed regardless of where it is. So it could delay things for your ROC or get it out of the waiting line.

On July 15, we got our application approved!!!

After two years of waiting this thing finally got settled down!!!

Don't know why it suddenly got approved, I am wondering its the Ombudsman inquiry helped to accelerate this process (We submitted an Ombudsman inquiry on July 1st)

 Congratulations!
