Please does anyone have any idea of when the embassies are likely to open?  I really wish this pandemic will end very soon so that we can have a our normal lives back,

Well POTUS's proclamation ends 21 June .....think that will be the decision point....also countries will have to lift COVID ban before embassies can open to the public.

POTUS proclamation has nothing to do with the suspension of routine visa services.

YMMV

Part of the requirements on the opening plan says the country has to be in phase 3, currently Nigeria has entered phase 2. Also, the international airport needs to be open for commercial international flights. They are supposed to resume domestic flights on June 21st. Hopefully in July there will be good news regarding them opening but as of now we just have to wait.😕

Yea agreed. I know it’s even more frustrating for you all that were so close to getting the visa and have to wait for additional time.

It will be different in each country depending upon their own individual policies on Covid.

Correct,  it is not a light switch but a slow and staggered process.  Some might be weeks away, other months

YMMV

You forgot one - People will still complain or they will kick the dog out of frustration or will think something in the process is unfair. If I heard once I have heard a million times.
