Don't forget, it's highly recommended you write your case number on the top right of ALL documents (except the bar-coded cover sheet and the cover letter). The writing of the case number on documents is in case NVC misplaces one of them. If it has the case number written on it, it has a much better chance of being reunited with the case.

Is this still accurate?  I am concerned that if I upload the documents with the case number printed on them (the originals have nothing extra printed on them, I am just using Acrobat to add the case number to the uploads) they might consider them as altered.

What is the current best practices for this?

Thank you!

Whether you type the case number on the pdf or write on the hard copy and scan, it is of course altered but just to put the case number and that’s what NVC recommeds.

No,  you do not have to write the case number, since you are  uploading the docs, you are not mailing them out.
