We have been preparing our I-864 and our joint sponsor's in aniticipation. From what Ive seen, the joint sponsor would have to fill out all parts that arent listed as optional. I filled out my parents for them, except the income info, and didnt come across anything that didnt seem like they should have to answer. The optional bits say so in parentheses and have to do with assets, and on one part whether you attached 3 years of tax transcripts. Everything else looks like it would need to be filled out. It seems the only difference with a joint sponsor is the addition of a copy of their birth certificate, passport, or certificate of naturalization.

october 2004 - marla and alex met in Spain

HI marlaandale and everyone

THANKS...just for example PART4 . Information on the sponsor:

in the case of cosponsor it 'll be information on the cosponsor OR what ?

TAHNKS

A co sponsor will fill out the whole I-864 except where it is said it is optional, as marlaandalex said. So Information on the sponsor will be "information on the co sponsor."

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

hanout,

A Joint Sponsor has to fill out all items on the I-864 that are applicable to them and their financial situation. That may or may not be the same as the items that the Sponsor would fill out.

The Joint Sponsor should read the form, read the detailed instructions, and then fill out the form in accordance with the instructions.
