In light of the fact that there has been no good news, I'll take this as something positive and hope for the best!

Thanks

Because everyone saw a pandemic coming when filing for K1 huh? There's also people who were simply not able to marry. My fiancé was working for the DOS and could not marry because of his contract, so we applied for the K1.

We're already aware that K1's aren't deemed mission critical and that's what we're fighting for. In the end the goal is to be with our loved ones, just like you. Please keep the negativity to yourself.

Exactly! Well spoken. Only reason I opted for k-1 at the time was because it had a reputation of getting processed quicker. At the end of the day we are all fighting for our loved ones to get here whether spouse or soon to be spouse

Ok, now we're getting somewhere! I would obviously prefer K-1's over any kind of student visa right now, considering the amount of distance and online learning that will start the year, but it's a step in the right direction.

This is frustrating.... Embassy in Ethiopia is claiming resource constraints as the reason they cannot reopen "until well after the fall", not covid. Are any other embassies saying this? Sometimes I can't help but feel  like this is part of some big plan to keep immigrants out of the US...

Hi! is this an expedited case? I'm also waiting anxiously for my husband's interview in Ankara. My request for expedite got denied. i called the embassy this morning, and the representative gave a vague answer, saying that that they will resume services on a case by case basis. It sounds like she is not even aware of update on the website stating that the embassy has resumed limited visa services.

Hello everyone as for most of you I am waiting interview date and time from the embassy as well. I came across this and wanted to share and hopefully it is a sign that we will be getting interview dates soon. This is a screen shot of the official web page of the Embassy in Ankara Turkey.

WE got DQ'ed on May 5.. Hoping the embassy will schedule my husband's interview soon. Please share some update if you have received any interview notice. I called the embassy this morning, and the rep said they will resume visa services on a case by case basis. Odd! I told her the website does say that it has resumed services. she even asked where i saw this info. Im not sure what to believe now:(

I can't believe I miss this. I was looking at website almost everyday.  Is this just published or it was published on July 13th? I had my DQ on April 20th. Still no interview date scheduled for me. But this is good news!

Please update if you get an interview date notice. We got DQ'ed on May 5th

I still haven't heard a interview date and we got DQ'ed June 18th. I think they are giving interviews to people who got their interviews cancelled during earlier stages of COVID. I also read on the Turkish blog that someone went to interview and there were only 3 people in the consulate to conduct the interview so go ahead and image when we will be getting interview date. I emailed the embassy few times as well but no answer at all. It is a dreadful wait for all of us and I hope that will end soon.

For those of you wondering about Ankara, we just got our interview date today for late September. We did make an expedite request but was sent the notice of the interview before they told us whether the request was approved or denied. It is possible that it was just our turn to have our interview. I sent the request just 10 days ago but we were DQ on May 26th.
