Thank you @JASP. I know they are not updating anything.

Yes nothing apart from that the visa services remain suspended. With flights operating to US now, hopefully the embassy will open too 🤞

The Department of State extended for 1 month immigrant visa medical exams conducted between January 1, 2020, and June 30, 2020.

Could this be taken as they're estimate of how long it will take them to interview those whose medicals are about to expire?

I wish it would be this way. But my pessimistic side tells me it’s more for people who got their visa in this period and couldn’t have gone to the US. On the bright side some others can get lucky too. It’s still a month.

Well the college starts in about a month so makes sense why they are issuing F1 visas. Also, sports are being back, like US Open tennis championship, where a lot of athletes have P visas and coaches having O visas, also a lot of staff is coming from other countries probably employed on J visas like empires etc, so it makes sense why they allowed those types of visas.
But one thing I really still don’t understand! If you have allowed all those types of visas, why K1 will increase the spread of disease? If you allowed spousal visa, why K1 is not included? Total piece of big bull***t! 😡

OMG thanks for this update! this is such a good news!

I and my fiance were worried since his medical will expire in September which is soon.

Don't have to waste another thousand dollars just for medical.

Now everything will be okay when embassies go ahead with routine visa services. fingers crossed!

I hope they will include K-1 and K-2 with that.

Since K-1s are handled by the consulates like IVs and not like NIVs, my guess is they are covered under this as well.

Those of you who were able to schedule interviews in your embassies, how far out did you have to schedule them? Like how many months out? I'm wondering how long it's going to take them to get through all this backlog.

I’m Uzbek too. So far no news...:(

So... somewhat good news, although there were no official communications from U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, I've received a different response this time. Someone in the consulate actually went and checked my status of the application rather than saying embassy being closed for interviews, in fact they have advised me to check with NVC for the status of the application as embassy does not have the case in their possession yet.

I did the same but NVC said they can’t do anything now coz embassies are not accepting cases for scheduling new interviews yet. Only emergency cases.
