This Just In -

A physician in India JUST (10 mins ago) got their emergency interview appointment scheduled for their H-1B visa.

Is scheduled for next week!!!!

So, India is scheduling interviews....as of July 15th, as they mentioned on their twitter feed that they could.

That is GREAT NEWS!

Now, we will see if they are also going to issue visas promptly, or throw people into Administrative Processing limbo...

Where did you find this information? Could you please share.

A doctor colleague just emailed me minutes ago...that she received her interview...at Hyderabad!!!

Interview Date - Next Tuesday!

She already had USCIS Petition approval.

Been waiting for the interview, for what seems like forever!

So glad she got it.

There are several others also waiting....

Will let you know.

NB: Doctors can be exempted and get emergency interviews, particularly if they are deemed essential (covid, etc.)

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

Yes, thanks.

This does NOT mean non-doctors can get emergency interviews, of course.

Doctors and other H-1B applicants who are deemed necessary CAN be exempted.

So, spousal visas are a completely different category (we did that personally in Philippines three years ago).

We shall see if other visa categories see any actual change or not.

But July 15th was the date we were all watching carefully.

That is why I am up at 3am...waiting to hear...something...anything....out of India.

Doctor colleague in India did some checking around with other colleagues and just shared this on July 15th, 2020 at 5am EST -

"....they are stamping visas in India. Someone who interviewed today was told to collect their passport tomorrow. I called the person who informed me of my appointment and she said I might be able to collect my passport the same day if not the next should I get approved..."

All very good news! Finally!

As of July 17, 2020, the United States Embassy in Brussels is resuming certain immigrant and nonimmigrant visa services, including: IR1/CR1, IR2/CR2, C1/D, F, M, and E.

I've sent them a Facebook message asking if it also includes K-visas. If they don't respond by tonight I'm emailing them that question. I don't know, we'll see, I guess. My application arrived there in April, so I should be near the front of the backlog, if they're processing Ks.

K1 seems to be left out again. Anxiously waiting for your update on their reply.

I don't know, there's only one or two a month here, judging by earlier visa bulletins, so I don't blame them for not including it. I'm just not sure if the "certain visa services" means just the ones listed, or if "including" means that there are others as well, but they weren't worth listing as they also fall under immigrant and nonimmigrant visa services.

They also say

Applicants for H1B, H2B, H4, L and certain J categories covered by Presidential Proclamation 10052 should request an appointment only if you have reason to believe you may qualify for one of the exceptions listed in the Proclamation here: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspending-entry-aliens-present-risk-u-s-labor-market-following-coronavirus-outbreak/

Ks just aren't mentioned at all, so I guess we'll see what they say.

Meanwhile the message shows as read, so idk, I feel like I'm going to have to email them later.

Is ANYONE getting the interview dates for the CR-1/IR-1 spousal visas???

Are the Embassies starting to conduct the interview for the spousal visas or no??? Or they absolutely do not care, that from now on this visa category is considered as “MISSION CRITICAL”???
Does anyone know???

What a shame on keeping families separated for such a long time, not even giving ANY sort of information!!!

It's true there is too much suspense, we just got to hope for the best.

A few have been interviewed in June but majority have been scheduled for July in these places Georgia, France, Singapore, Germany, Spain, Vietnam, UK, Serbia, Netherlands to name a few.

They are all for IR-1/CR-1 Visa category. You can follow this thread people have been posting their interview updates here recently.
