I have my medical on July 8- and i 've asked my GP for my vaccination record. The receptionist at my doctors printed off from their database a list of all my vaccinations and dates. It doesn't look very official or anything just a list with my name and DOB at the top. I was wondering what other people took- is it possible to get a 'certificate' or something of your vaccinations or will this tatty piece of paper they printed for me be sufficient?

Thanks

Knightsbridge Doctors will accept that -- it's the sort of thing they're used to. Bruce got a nifty little booklet with his marked in it, but I've read here of other people using exactly the same sort of printout you're talking about.

Good luck at the medical -- it's not exactly the most thorough going-over you'll ever get so don't sweat it!

Phew!

I was just thinking about this myself and came to the UK forum to ask about it.

Although my interview isn't for a good while yet (Still waiting on the blasted NOA2) I decided to go to my doctors and see what they had for me in terms of a vaccination record.

I asked the receptionist if I could have a copy of my vaccination record to prove dates of a TB and MMR vaccination. She came back with a photo copy of a sheet from my medical record, and on it was a page that had obviously been created originally in a typewriter. On it was my name, DoB, and a list of all the vaccinations I had ever had. It turned out I had never had an MMR (only a mumps shot on it's own) so she let me go in and see the nurse straight away to get the first shot of my MMR done. I also asked the nurse if I could have a TB booster, since my TB shot was more than 10 years old. After these two injections, she gave me a more modern looking booklet from some drug company which had space in for vaccinations and dates, and serial code of injection used.

So I now have two records, the old one, and the new booklet with my TB and both MMR shots. I hope this is ok!

Also, getting them done at the GP for free was preferable to at a private clinic where it would have cost me money.

As a side question to this, is the information on the US Embassy website current? Are the medicals done by just two doctors in London? That's a fair trek from Newcastle.

Yeah the medical does have to be at one of those two in London unfortunately. A nuisance for me too, living in manchester.

I finally got through to Knightbridge Doctors and the receptionist or whoever i spoke to said print offs such as i got from my GP were ok. I will just assume she is correct.

The vaccination record I took to my medical was just a crappy-looking printout the practice nurse did for me (she stamped it with the surgery's stamp & signed over the top of it, too) - seemed to do the trick. I remember being a bit worried that they'd want something more 'official', but they didn't bat an eyelid so I think bad quality printouts are exactly what they're used to! :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

That's exactly what my Practice Nurse did too. Knightsbridge docs were happy with it.

Mine was a handwritten vaccination card with no GP stamp on it or anything. I still can't quite believe they took it.

I just got the printed-off vaccination certificates from my local GP for my children to prove their vax history when I start them at school in the US... hope it is enough for that purpose. They're not signed or anything. Heck, I suppose I could sign them

Mine was the same as yours, it wasn't a problem. The nurse at my medical accepted it without any problems, she didn't even pass comment on it.

I just had a print out too, and the nurse added a Post It note to it when I had my flu jab! Knightsbridge were happy with it, so you should have no probs.
