Thank you for your words.

Parachute,we''ll jump out of this.......soon.

my petition hasn't transfered yet guys. i am getting scared. what if they lost it?

some other people who got approved the same day as me have their petitions at nvc already. any suggestions. :crying:

i am restless, tense, frustrated again.

It's kinda like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. The whole dam process stinks, beginning to end. It sure has made my decision easy on which country I'm going to retire to in a few years. Sorry you're going through the next painful process Neel.

Come on,Parachute :) ,we will enjoy the fire,I feel bored in this frying pan already!

We have two days left, let's hope for the best.(what a rhyme, hehehe)

Good luck for us!

Congratulations Super man, very happy for you :dance::dance:

Hopeful1 sorry to hear about your rfe, the only brightside to it, is that they give RFE only after they start processing your application and people here reported earlier that they got their approvals immidietly within a week after they return their rfe with the requested info. So good luck...

the senator cannot do anything specific. However, I noticed that when they contacted the USCIS on my behalf they got their act together and my petition was approved in 4 more days. This may be due to the fact that Trent Lott is so high profiled though (republican whip). My wife has kids but I dont think thats why my petition took so long. I could be wrong though.

does really senator help with cases filed with USCIS

Congratulations Superman...

In regards with senators help, its NOT necessary that he/she will have an impact on your case...maybe or may be not... but what I can say with a fair amount of certainty is that they will look into your case for sure if its really been pending for a LONG LONG time outside of that categories' normal processing times... I would say the probability of them doing/influencing something in your case increases if you haven't heard anything back from USCIS for a long time...

This is off-topic but I will tell you one of my family member's story in brief:

In short, I had to get Sen. McCain's (well, his office to be precise) help to finish this members Naturalization process, which has been pending for almost a year now since she PASSED her interview exam, which means the whole case has been pending for about a year and a half now since she applied..

Now can I say for sure that his office had any influence in her case? NO.. May be or may be not. What I do know is that we heard back from USCIS after I wrote to Sen McCain's office. I dont have any official proof either way so I want to be little cautious in saying that we heard due to his office taking appropriate steps.. coz her case may just have been adjudicated by USCIS without any letter from Sen. McCain office but the timing of my letter to his office and us hearing from USCIS after that kinda leads me to believe that his office may have a hand in this.. and thats why I am saying that if someone's case has been pending way over the normal processing times than its likely that a Senator's office can do something about it.. Also, they for sure WILL NOT just write a letter to USCIS to make your case approved faster...well atleast thats my understanding..

Hope this helps. Regardless, wish us all good luck and Godspeed...

Regards
