Im a military member too, but I cant think of anything else I can do other than wait or volunteer to deploy. But if you find anything that can speed this stupid process let me know or even if you find out what the hold up is, that would be enough for me to know that they dont have my case sitting in the cracks. I have not received a touch since 29 May 07 and I dont know if that is a good thing or a bad one. I mailed my I-130 on 13 April and still have not received a NOA 1 for my case from CSC. Im seeing Mental Health since this is really frustrating and all the stupid bull ####### I have to deal with at work does not help. It sucks when you dont have anyone to come home to. I have gotten the run around through customer service and the immigration officers. Hopefully CSC pulls their head out their @$$es and get some work done.

I can actually say that once this ordeal is over and I have started looking for a new place to live and retire , I won't feel guilty relocating to a pretty little area of the Philippines and leaving a country that was once so good to me. I will always look at our government and our elected officials in a different light, knowing that they could not comprehend what it can take out of families that are far apart ,whether it's because of a visa petition or a far away military action.

I think most of you will agree it's the feeling of complete helplessness dealing with our government that has been so frustrating and nerve racking.

COUNT ME IN AS WELL GUYS.. I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW USCIS PROCESS THESE PAPERS. I MEAN SOME OF YOUR TIMELINES ARE THE SAME OR ATLEAST VERY VERY CLOSE TO OTHERS THAT HAVE GOTTEN THEIR APPROVALS. I GUESS THEY DON'T HAVE THE CAPACITY TO HANDLE THE CASE ALTOGETHER.. IT'S KINDA LIKE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE TYPE OF THING.. IF YOU'RE NOT ON THE TOP OF THE STACK AND SOMEONE'S ON TOP OF YOU WHO FILED LATER THAN YOU DID.. THEY'LL GET THEIRS FIRST.. I GUESS.. JUST A THEORY..

I am a little bit new here. What do you mean by touched? Is that notification by mail, email, or something? I got my NOA1 but still waiting for my NOA2. I had to wake them up to have them send my NOA1 because too many boxes of donuts sitting on top of my package. You know what I mean...

Statistics on who has been approved or not: What do you think?

Hi Everyone,

I called USCIS on Friday to see what was happening with my case. The woman was polite but repeated herself over and over again with the usual. She told me they're now processing January 2007 applications. We all know that's not exactly true.

It's hard to see how many people are approved and how many are still waiting. So I used the VJ timeline search and (based on people reporting, which may be a problem), I got the following stats:

Note: This is K-3 Visas only. I wonder if K-3s are more complex than K-1.

Total

  • Applications: 59
  • Approved (got NOA2 for I-130 or I-129): 27
  • in the last 4 weeks: 11
  • in the last

2 weeks: 7

What do you think? Are we the last of the last, or are these stats correct?

Alan

Hi Alan, why this lady have said that now they are reviewing cases from January. I can't find information on USCIS cite about processing dates for K3.

There is information only for K1/K2. It seems that they do not review K3 applications???

Pkwel,

The California service centre have "forgotten" to put K3 processing times on their site a couple of times in the past, so this would just be.. yet another.. oversight on their parts :(

I was looking at the K3 visa's processing times chart and the USCIS must be working on everything else except K3's. It must have been the change in procedures for K3's and the fee increases that overwhelmed the system :crying: :crying: .

In the beginning of this month I was sure that we'll be approved by the end of the month.

Now I do not know what to think or say.I am checkin' constantly the USCIS website too,but every day is just a dissapointment.

.I starting to think that it will take 180 days (or more) really.Maybe I am too frustrated.

And if we 'll hit the mark, what should we do...

But,I wish good luck to everyone.

zolanden, I was feeling the same way. In fact, I didn't believe we'd even get our approvals until a long time after the 180 day mark. But then suddenly they came. Try not to lose hope! It's a terrible process for sure, but you WILL get through it soon.

Thank you so much for the words. Apparently I simply cannot imagine that we get our approval. I really do not want to give up and I won't,but I never felt this kinda frustration like nowadays.Really sorry for the whining..

Trust me...I completely understand. I felt the exact same way. This process really messes with your head!!! I will be so happy to see those of you still waiting get these approvals because I know exactly what you are going through.
