I just got an email from CRIS today. Word has it the hold up for NOA2s on approved applications is that they had so many applications they had run out of forms, so I guess they got a shipment in. Just for the I-130, though. Not that it matters. Its the aproval, not the NOA2 that matters.

Your absence runs through me like a needle

Set up an account on the USCIS web page with your receipt number. When someone does something to your case and they remember it gets updated (you can tell by the date changing). Captain Ewok explains this in one of his posts.

Hope that helps...

Count me in please.... I am the worst example which can frustrate many of you... please don't worry... not all person are as unfortunate as I am... therefore you will be OK. My I-130 petetion is already beyond the last processing date submitted by USCIS on their page on June 18 2007 (November 02 2006). I filed I-130 as an US Citizen and it was received by USCIS on September 08 2006. Last time I spoke to NCSC they took a refferal and told me it will still take 45 days to know whats' went wrong!!! can you believe it... and my I-129F is also sitting there since 3/28/2007 without any kind of update...I never got any RFE letter from USCIS for any of the petetions that I filed.

Please add me to the list... Filed for I-130 on March 27 still no update not even a touch...

I might be missing something here... how do you determine a touch? How do i see it in the USCIS website?

thanks.

You see a touch by creating a portfolio on the uscis.gov website.

Go here and click create/edit customer portfolio: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

Add your case to your portfolio, and a touch is when you see the last update date change (even though you won't necessarily get an email or anything else). It means someone, somewhere did something with your file and scanned the barcode on it meaning it was "touched"

Thanks for that information... I guess I didn't have any touch except for the receipt pending in CSC last June 13.

What an amazing mess, did the senator ever get back to you? I'm worried about the California Service Center, but maybe Vermont is in worse shape.

I have this theory that they took all the immigration workers and put them on making passports because that got all the attention in the news.

Good luck to us all and mostly to you.

What an amazing mess, did the senator ever get back to you?

Good luck to us all and mostly to you.

Thanks for your wishing, got a letter from senator by postal mail (June 17 2007)stating, "USCIS has replied me as bellow:

Your case is received on 09/08/2006 and USCIS are processing cases received on 03/12/2006.

It was my pleasure to assist you on this.....should you have any question or concern please call my office........bla bla bla"

Damn....never knew that senator's investigation is such a thing... and he called it assistnace?? My luck is so bad that at the time senator did the inquiry they website of USCIS was stuck with the date 03/12/2006,however since June 18 they had updated the processing time for USC filed for spouse as 11/02/2006, I wonder what would they replied...therefore I re-submit another request to senator's office telling them the USCIS posted date has been changed yet no progress made on my petition. I also had submitted request to my congressman. Haven't received any reply from him yet. Today I called the NCSC and got shocked to learn that my petition appeared in the system as Parmanent residence (I was never told by any other rep about this before) as it shows my processing time as "Jan 08 2006" instead "November 02 2006".... can you guys believe it??(I have been a Citizen for 3 years, and my I-130 NOA-1 still says "Spouse of an US citizen") I mean what's going on with this USCIS people...too bad that we have nothing to do but just tolerate and wait and show our unlimited patience....very disapointing .... Sumon,

it is outrageous. I am sure you submitted your naturalization certificate or copy of the US passport when you sent the petition to USCIS. You should contact your Senators or local Congressman immediately and explain everything. Hopefully, they can try to upgrade your petition.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Sumon,

Just wondering if you made an Infopass appointment? The last time my husband went (June 8th) the immigration officer told him that the local offices are now allowed to fax information over to the service centers - we didn't believe that would really help, but then two days later my husband received a confirmation and tracking number for our claim and an approval two weeks later...but that might have just been coincidence...

So sorry you have to go through this - I thought I was going to go crazy after three months...couldn't even imagine how you must feel.
