I know, it's not like we ARE NOT willing to pay higher amounts than them.. The USCIS is just doing it for money... well, why don't they charge $1,000 per person then? That way, we will get higher priority

Day after day,nothing has changed.I am very upset and frustrated.

No probs with the K1(Yay for them ,really) but I cannot deny,I AM envious.Because I cannot see any progress on the K3.

it's because the K1 filing fee is $455 (old) and the K3 filing fee was ($170) , I-130 ($190)... the new fees are that the K1 stays the same at $455, while the I-130 is $355... so we still lose out to K-1 as well as the Temporary Workers.. :crying: :crying: nothing has changed and will change for us.. We are the ones that are doing it "by the book".. K1 is uncertain because they can just divorce quickly and run away and still stay in the US... Temporary workers aren't permanent.. I don't get what the government is trying to do.. the government is a big meanie ....... booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

It's kind of funny but I find myself checking the USCIS website less and less, knowing nothing has changed and won't change until I start seeing early March filers being approved. I keep a running list of who has filed in March ( about 21 ) I only have Lilikoi check off recently with approvals.

And You are right.

I am not checking the USCIS long ago,I was so foolish and naive that I thougt every day in JUN that we'll be approved.

Was a good lesson.I am keep checkin' this thread,it is more realistic I think.

But I am kinda paranoid that I have to wait through the half year.IT IS CRAZY!

The new K1 fee is $455, not the old. The I129F before today, July 30, 2007, had one fee regardless of which purpose you filed it: $170. K1 applicants when from 170 to 455, K3 applicants went from 190 to 355 on the I130 and from 170 to 0 on the 129F. Honestly, us K3ers got the better end of that deal.

yep, that's what I was saying... we are still "WORTH LESS" to the USCIS than those with K1 , and those especially of Temporary Workers (do they need to have time spent looking at their marriage certificate, and marriage history/work history? background checks are the same I would think... also, we have to fill out all those extra forms, so it slows us down even more)... as long as the company can support them, they can be approved very fast.. which would you rather have.. someone that can be approved in a couple of hours (just guessing, Temporary Workers), to someone that takes a couple of months to investigate on (us, K3 and I-130 people)...

Really, I had this good feeling this week also...I don't know why. But it's quickly fading after today's lack of approvals! Down with the man! haha

You know, I wish a bunch of us could get together and go testify before congress or something. One of the things I would explain to them is that married folks should be approved AT LEAST in the same amount time as people who are just engaged. That one really irks me!

I guess most of all, I'd like a chance for all of us to sit face to face with the people that made these rules and make them hear what effect it has had on us. I'd like for them to explain why they have made the decisions they have. Like why won't they allow expedite on these for more money? Why won't the government help fund them a little bit since it's really akin to cruel and unusual punishment in my opinion. I just wish someone would do something about this mess NOW!

Currently, with the new fees:

I-129 (Temporary Workers ) -- $320 + supplemental fees + fraud prevention fees

I-129F (K1) -- $455

I-129F (K3) -- $0

I-130 (CR1/IR) -- $355

I-130 may is a little more expensive than I-129, but they don't need as many "checks" and fill out as many forms as I-130, so overall I-130 costs MORE to USCIS to process (less revenue for them per person).. they will be able to process the H1, H2B visas faster than us.. the I-129 Temporary so we are still at the bottom of the pile =( :crying: :crying: which will you rather have if you were USCIS? (someone that processes in 1 day, or process in 1 month time?) I don't have exact times for each, just using a hypothetical example..

Absolutely, we are stuck at the bottom of the preference scale. I know, I've ranted on here about the subject often, but I was just pointing out gogo was wrong that the old K1 I129F fee was $455.
