What burns me is fiance only I-129f's (K1's) get processed quicker, easier and cheaper than K3's. Don't make a commitment of marriage and expect your spouse to be here as soon as your fiance will.

ahhhhhhh. today I talked to the "immigration specialist" at the congressman's office and he totally ruined my day. He said the earliest my husband is likely to enter United States is Feb 2008. :crying::crying::crying::crying:

I am not sure how correct he is......but even the thought that it might take so long hurts.

That can't be right! I would think that you can just get out of USCIS with an approved I-129F, in a couple months you could have your visa. Did he explain why it must be so long?! I'm hoping that this is just another one of those cover the bases answers...if they tell you February then maybe you will go away for a while and if you get done much earlier you will be pleasantly surprised. I mean really....that's almost an entire year for a K3?!? And K3 is supposed to be faster than CR-1? These people are smoking drugs to make us wait like this.

i think it was one of the basic answers. I don't know.....i give up. when my approval comes it comes...when my husband comes he comes......

I'm going down fighting! lol Seriously though, if I thought it would take that long in our case, I would quit my job and move to Ukraine to wait it out with her. I probably would have done this already back in February if I had known it would be even this long. I figured 3 months for our I-129F to be approved and then other 2-3 months to get a K3 visa. I had no idea they would put us on hold this long and steal this much time from our lives that we can never get back.

But then again you need to show income....so it's hard to just quit your job and do that....cause they ask for the last few paystubs at the interview.

My wife is Pregnant and really needing me to be with her...I am just waiting to hear something from here after my RFE 2 weeks back, so I can go to India and support her in her pregnacy.

Its 6 months. I would love to be in your boat. The quicker the better. I filed late April. You can make it. Just think all the years to come you will have with your significant other. If only you can wait 6 months

My wife is Pregnant and really needing me to be with her...I am just waiting to hear something from here after my RFE 2 weeks back, so I can go to India and support her in her pregnacy.

I could qualify with savings or have my parents be a co-sponsor. Of course I'd rather do it myself, but if it meant the difference between me being with my wife or not, I would do what I had to!

Congratulations on the pregnancy! I'm pretty sure you'll be done with this nightmare soon if you got an RFE. I think most of the wait here at USCIS is just waiting for your turn in line. Once it's your turn and they start processing your case, I think the worst is over, and once you send in the documents for the RFE, you should be at the front of the line again. So have no fear, friend, I think you're almost done! Best of luck to you!!!

Yesterday my husband called the USCIS,tried the RFE trick, etc.

He was told they processing cases dated november 6,2006.

And was told that they cannot answer any other question.

I am freaked out.

thats bull #$#% The people who answer the phone know nothing. according to the uscis processing dates they are processing petitions dated dec 31st and as you know from this website majority of the feb filers have even gotten their interview dates.

Thanks neel for your response;

We know all that is BS but it ruined my day.(again)

My husband could not ask anything,he was told by a "lady",that they only processing fiancée visas from blah blah blah.

And after this (mis) info,he was asked:Did you married?

Yes we are... definitely are..From 5th.mos.

This whole process is so frustratin and more and more absurd.

Anyways,chin up everyone.
