I just got e-mail notification from CSC that my I129F for K3 is approved - woooohoooooo!!! My NOA1 was dated 3/19/07. I had originally gotten both an e-mail and hard copy NOA2 dated 4/11/07....then nothing. Nothing was sent to NVC. When I contacted "customer service" (supposedly level 2 where I spoke to a immigration officer) they claimed the approval was valid and it just takes time to arrive at NVC. Another call to "cutomer service" advised me to visit my local USCIS office. I did and was told by another immigration officer to write a letter to CSC. I did, and the letter was returned a week later indicating that CSC does not accept general correspondence or written inquiries. At that point I decided to:

1) escalate to my congressman 6/14

2) file a "request to expedite" citing USCIS error 6/18

This activity prompted a lot of touches as you can see from my timeline (sorry, don't know how to make it appear in my signature). Then today I received a reply from my congressman with a copy of an e-mail resonse from CSC indicating that the approval notice dated 4/11/07 was due to a "computer glitch" and not an actual adjudication. The e-mail went on to state an apology for the error and that they were working on resolving my case. Then the website registered a touch and about an hour ago - voila, an approval e-mail. Phew - what a process!! Funny, today my wife and I discussed the potential necessity of planning another rendezvous trip - probably to Turkey - if things continued to drag on. I know we aren't out of the woods yet but it looks like that shouldn't be necessary.

For those of you March filers still waiting on approvals, hang in there. There seems to be a considerable amount of computer issues along our path. But things do get sorted out - er I think.

Click on "My Assistant" at the top of the screen, to the right of center on the same line where it says "Logged in as:" then click on "edit forum signature" on the popup to add stuff to your signature.

if you look below ur name in any topic u hv posted there is a link that sais MY TIMELINE..if u made ur timeline here in vj u shud hv an estimated date of adjudication..

Could you find out,why your paper is touched so often.Did you called...

they can't even answer that question because the folks that answer only can tell whatever you status is online.. their not really much of a help.. unless you call at the right time like other folks here who have gotten great news by calling and have their status still say pending..

kits...have you been calling regularly and asking them about your case? Because depending on how you call, this can generate touches also.

My case is still in NVC and wasn't forwarded yet... Does anybody has any idea about total cost difference between process with IR-1 and K3 (except the extra 190 dollar filing fee for I-129F) ?

You have to imagine many workers are on Vacation, it is that time. Also, there are brewing issues regarding legal and illegal immigrants. USCIS is also being sued in a class action lawsuit. Let's hope they get our stuff done before they become even more bogged down.

alan I was just curious why did you official receipt date change? i mean how can they even do that. thats strange. does that mean that they will count 6 months from May onwards.

we are in same boot too i do not what's going ,people's time line behind us and the got approved(congratulation) but we still waiting

I hope your I-130 in the NVC is going smoothly... eventhough my I-129F is also approved, it didn't departed NVC yet. While asking for Case number, They have given me the same case # that I have associated with my I-130. Note that, until July 6 I knew that they have only approved my I-130 and it went to NVC and assigned a Case #. July 7 I got an email stating my I-129F approval letter was sent on July 3(The very same day,when the I-130 was approved). From other VJ member experience,I knew that they only hold your I-130 if both I-130 and I-129F are approved same day. My case became little unusal again. I am still trying to be happy with the fact that atleast they are approved. Same time wondering, if I-129F is approved why isn't it leaving NVC like other I-129F filers(SoldierStory, ConsoleMaster...). Unfortunately I never could reach NVC operator, I have tried different time...7am to 11PM(EASTERN TIME) but no luck on talking to a live person. Emailed them twice but no responses other than the automated acknowledgement. Could you please share the NVC process of your I-130 case.. what state you are on now?

The approvals came in much faster for Jan and Feb filers.. i wish i had filed little bit earlier.......
