I don't think calling the customer service number and hitting the prompt to see if you have an RFE or not will be helpful. I'll tell you my experience.

I called the telephone number from my Receipt Notice, and went to the RFE prompt then directed to a customer service associate. The associate said " You should've gotten an RFE, I'm going to send it to clerical to have to generate you one. " This call was made after I received, and send back the RFE for the I-130 about 2 weeks before the call. Relying on the customer service isn't very helpful.

But, it's a shot. I do hope the best of luck to all of you. I know how it feels to check status everyday and no movement.

Thank you, Sam! Yes, this site is amazing for support. I can't even imagine what I'd be doing if I didn't have VJ and was totally in the dark on all this just wondering what was happening with our forms! Right now, we are playing the "Ok. We must get approved THIS week!" game! hahaha It's such a let down though when we get to the weekend and still nothing. One of these days I know it will come and I'm going to nuts!

Glad to see you'll be getting to see your husband soon! That's fantastic! Good luck on a speedy case also!!!

I don't think that they hold the I130 just because you filed the I129F. Others here who have filed both and only had the I130 approved have had their case forwarded to NVC for processing. Its only when the I129F is also approved that this happens.

Yes. Usually from what I've heard they only will hold the I-130 if they approve both forms at the same time. It should indicate on your I-130 approval whether or not they will retain it or forward it on. So double check this. You may be on your way! In either case, congratulations on your approval! I can't believe it took them so long!

I wish both of you are correct, right now I don't care but want her as soon as possible by me...oh god I made a record on waiting for approval letter for I-130 filed by an US Citizen, I have absolutely seen no one....neither in my family nor among my friends who had waited this long just for the approval letter where no RFE was requested.

MamaLovesDada,

since your case was already in NVC which process you are currently on?? Have you sent those AOS , IV bills with DS3032 already?? Can you tell me when it is possible for NVC to pick up my case? I called today but the automated system doesn't have my info yet.

yes neel06, there was a time when they kept approving k3 petitions almost everyday. I wonder why they stopped...

sumonlopa, we just kept calling NVC everyday using until one day the operator told my husband that they received it. A few days after, he called again and was given the case number. We checked yesterday but our DS3032 and AOS fee bill was not generated yet. Probably next week.

keep in touch!
