Our interview was conducted February 18, 2020.  They closed without issuing VISA.  Will they take care of old business before starting interviews for new business.  One would think they will clean up their old messes before starting new ones.

I'd expect they would do that, and they would do that before they started taking "new" interviews.  Chances are they is not a lot of extra Lincoln foils there as they would have been secured back to the US.

I have never seen any thing like that.  What they USEM put on Facebook never said they would re open. This is what they said:

VISA OPERATIONS:

All immigrant and nonimmigrant visa interviews scheduled through June 11 are canceled. We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. After the community quarantine is lifted in Metro Manila, all affected applicants should reschedule their visa interviews through the Embassy call center by phone at +63 (2) 7792-8988 or +63 (2) 8548-8223, or through the online appointment system at ustraveldocs.com/ph. There is no fee to change an appointment and visa application fees are valid for one year in the country where the fee was paid.

Please see these notices which contain detailed information about the current status of visa services worldwide and visa restrictions related to the COVID-19 global pandemic: https://travel.state.gov/…/covid-19-visa-services-and-restr…

I found this...

The U.S. Embassy in the Philippines has canceled all immigrant and nonimmigrant visa interviews scheduled through July 3 due to the Philippines' community quarantine measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

They will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time.

Great Job finding this

I did see that a few people got 2GO notice yesterday and today that their visas were being sent.  Hopefully you will hear soon.

What stage were they at? I know some people were stuck at issued, so maybe they wouldn't be subject to the suspension of routine processing.

Theoretically,  anyone who interviewed before the suspension could see issuances

Little Man Duterte is suppose to address the nation on Monday and provide new directives on community quarantine procedures.

They have been lockdown for 3 months and still getting hundred of new cases, seems as if lockdown is not working.  I am hoping he says open back up the country and business as usual.   I hope he still isn't living in some fantasy world where he is waiting for the USA to create a vaccine before he opens the country.
