Here is an option for anyone looking for quotes. I've been told these plans are designed to bridge the gap between the time you arrive in the USA and when you get better health insurance (whether through employer or spouse or individual).

I thought I would share for anyone looking for quotes for their interviews and for coverage on their arrival.

It was advised that the Patriot American Plus Plan and the Diplomat America Plan were pretty good. I am not making recommendations personally or recommendation based on personal experience, just passing info that was given to me.

Falls into the better than nothing category.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Not a joke a couple I know met in Antarctica. Once you are down there pretty locked down environment.

And I met 2 NZ cyclists and they had met at the NZ facility down there.

:) Joke or serious?

If Joke: very funny haha, just in case we have to go eh?

If Serious: Not good plan?

Not most folks go to Antarctica - just @Boiler 's friends and mine!

But seriously I would get something that does cover coronavirus and it's derivatives.   I had it and it wasn't fun. 2 visits to the ER and 3 plus weeks sick.

We are looking at the site ehealthinsurance.com for the short term policies. My guess is they will be fine with quotes, as you can't start a policy without knowing a date of entry. I'm not expecting to actually have to buy one of the policies, as I hope to have secured a job before going back over. I just don't want to try and get in with my old employer until we have hubby's approval.
