Would anyone please help me with the above question about BNO nationality / passport? Your help would be much appreciated.

Maybe the BNO issue is too specific. But in general, is dual nationality a problem for DV application? Would my declaration that I have 2 nationalities / passports harm my chance of getting my application approved?

Dual nationality shouldn't be a problem. I used my HKSAR passport but changed to my Canadian passport for issuing the visa.

I don't remember if I have ever had a BNO passport. I've been using my Canadian passport to travel to US every time. Honestly I'm unsure if BNO passport holders are considered holding British nationality.

Thank you so much for your reply. And it was nice to know there are other HKers on this forum.

I am leaning towards replying YES to that question on the DS260, as you pointed out in the other comment that I did use my BNO passport in my previous B1/B2 visa  applications, together with the fact that HK BNO is an option in that dropdown list so the US State Department and the US consulate in HK should be aware of the intricacy of the BNO issues.

Thank you again for sharing your opinion @mave. Good luck in your new life in the US.
