Tips for finding a lawyer

I'm a software engineer / entrepreneur and I'm looking into getting a EB2 NIW or similar. I don't currently live in the US. I'm not in a hurry (I'm looking to get my immigration visa in 1-2 years) but I'd like to start doing my best to create a bulletproof case now.

I may not have all the qualifications needed right now but I believe with a bit of effort on my part it should be possible. I need a lawyer who will tell me which achievements of mine are useable as is, and help me create a plan to achieve anything I need for my case that I'm currently missing. Having a good knowledge of startups / software engineering / entrepreneurship is essential. I'm happy to pay a bit extra -- I really don't want to cheap out on this.

Is there a good platform to search for a lawyer on? How do I know if a lawyer is good? Google searching yields me some bigger immigration law firms -- are those good? I'm a little worried that their approach may be too conveyor-belt-like. On the other hand they may know more about the internal workings of USCIS since their company handles so many cases. Would you recommend law firms or individual lawyers?

Anyone with experience finding a lawyer I'd love to hear from you.
