Filing of Green Card

I am an H-1B employee who have been let go from my job recently due to COVID-19. My wife is a US citizen. How should I proceed with my adjustment of status with respect to green card filing process so I can stay in US and complete my job search. Do we need to file Form I-485 and I-130 concurrently for this purpose and does USCIS grants visa extension immediately?

Now that I don't have a job and I have to leave US within 60 days, can I file I-765 to get temporary employment authorization. Also, does my spouse needs to file Form I-864 (affidavit of support) with my green card filing application to demonstrate enough financial means? She is also not employed currently. Please advise the best course of action I should take. Any help will be much appreciated.

you file I-130 and I-485,i-765,i-131 all together.  Yes your spouse will have to be able to support you as the petition will be family based.  your status does not matter as you are married to a US Citizen.
