Request to add me with my parents, as we have a very small family. can be difficult to live separate.

Are they can consider my request, and does it a good approach for our case?

That’s not a basis for a derivative visa under law. Your parents can sponsor you once they get green cards, but that will take another 6-7 years.

i have heard , GC holder sponsor for unmarried adult takes 2-4 years.

is this possible.

Not currently, sometime in the distant past it may have been that fast. Currently those getting visas on this basis (or who would be if there wasn’t a ban right now anyway) are those whose cases were filed before March 2015.

I'm hoping that isn't the same source that said you were still eligible today.  You would be F2B.   Once they get a green card and file reference the dates on the VISA Bulletin.   Here is a link to the one for this month.   Keep in mind this is just for the Visa number to be available and not the total processing time after the NVC stage.

5 years is today's time for most countries.  It fluctuates because it is a numerically limited category.

No, that is not how it works.

Once you are petitioned by your green card parents, and the petition is approved by USCIS it will sit at the NVC until the VISA number is available.  There is nothing you can do about that.

I think he’s asking about a tourist visa in the meanwhile.
Yes you can apply, you may or may not get it depending on your ties to home country at the time.

You can always apply for a tourist visa to visit.  $160 and an interview will let you know.

If there was a way for you to immigrate with your family, we would tell you.  There is no reason for us to hide anything and not tell you.

There is no way for you to immigrate with your family.  You have aged out and do not qualify to immigrate with your parents.   The law does not allow any discretion to let you immigrate with your parents.

Your parents do not have to immigrate.  All of you can stay in your home country.

Currently, it takes about 5-6 years for a green card holder to petition for an unmarried son over age 21.  Generally, the wait for the last few years has been 6-8 years.

Whether you can get a visitor visa will depend on your personal situation.  If you are poor, then the likely answer is no.

We are here to help you.  That includes telling you the truth, even if it's not what you want to hear.

Sorry.

Sorry.

Unfortunately many people don't like hearing the truth and that's a big problem
