Go to the Manila website.   Follow the 5 steps.  It will likely be a few months before the petition is at the consulate

Not in Manila.   If you wait to be contacted,  you will wait for years.  Manila has everything online

That's good to know; thanks; also that is really efficient. In Haiti they ended up sending me (US citizen) the documents.. in French lol. Too bad these processes aren't streamlined especially since many places don't have addresses.

Manila does between 4 to 5 thousand k1s each year.  They had to do something to move it along more efficiently.

NOA1 and NOA 2 took under 5 months.  Work the 134 requirements, which for the Philippines is fairly easy the want Tax and Income information and that is about all.   Beware:::::SLEC is no given, large numbers are caught up in the Sputum game which results in at least an 8 week delay.  For us the interview was a disaster, Embassy lost medical paperwork, more delays, then they raised an issue with the NBI paperwork which was resolved.  They issued VISA on February 26 2020 and withheld it February 27 without explanation and then proceeded to close the Embassy for Covid 19.  I just made it out of country, so I have some really hard feeling about the mess we ran into at the Embassy and hope that once they reopen this matter will be resolved for us and we can get on  with our lives.   Take nothing for granted, save money and if you wish to travel together wait until Visa is issued,   Best of luck to you
