Sorry, these questions are probably asked to death but i did do a search before asking. This is for the I-129F.

1. We've been together for 5 years and I'm just wondering do I focus on gathering boarding passes, itineraries etc for the past 2 years only? Just because we've done a lot of traveling the first 2 years of dating and not so much the last 3 years. Also, a lot of them in the last 2 years were more like weekend visits...so I have boarding passes of me flying over there (to new york) alone / him flying here (canada) alone. Is this even helpful to have these "solo" boarding passes? It doesn't really prove we spent time together does it?

2. Would it be helpful to include any boarding passes/hotel receipts from before 2 year mark, just to show when we met? Or anything earlier than 2 years will be completely ignored?

3. This is just to confirm that we can send in passport photos (as long as it meets the measurements etc) without having the back dated/signed from place where you got them? I have to take them in Canada, and mail it to my fiance but he's in the middle of a move. If i dont' have to get it stamp dated, that would put me at ease (that we wouldn't have to retake it in case we go over the 30day mark by a day or two).

Thank you everyone in advance :)

Thank you everyone in advance :)

You are required to prove that you have met at least once in the past two years. You also need to prove you have a bona fide relationship.

Usually a letter from both of you stating the intent of the beneficiary to be married within 90 days of arrival into the US is sufficient.

Whatever proof you can provide that shows you have met in person It can be tricky, but not impossible.

Passport stamps, boarding passes, something that shows you were together at the same place at the same time. Photos at a dated event..

1. It does. They can cross refer the boarding passes to yours and his address history and take a look at it. Also don’t send the original boarding passes. Send scanned copies and leave the originals to be taken to the interview. Adding the passport stamped pages to this also would help. In addition add photos of you two together with the date at the back to show you two have met.

2. I would add older ones as well, but not everything. You could just add few of the boarding passes to show the continuation of the relationship, but for this focus more on phone conversations, texts and social media. Don’t leave any big gaps in the timeline when showing proof.

3. As has been mentioned, passport photos does not need to be date stamped. Just need to be taken within 30 days of posting the i129F. You could mail them to him like you mentioned, or if it’s inconvenient for him, you could just send a digital copy to him. He could get those printed out at Walmart or CVS, or use a free editing software like www.idphoto4you.com or other website and can print it out from home.
