No.  US doesn't care.  They only care about your US citizenship and ignores all others

YMMV

Elon Musk  has 3, South Africa, USA and Canada.  If Mexico approves it, you are good to go.

Go for it - do you already have temporary residency or permanent residency?  For citizenship you will need 3 years of residency.

I'm a Mexican Permanent Resident.  Mexican Citizenship doesn't offer me anything I don't have today in regards to property rights.  My esposa got a permanent resident  Visa for Mexico while we were in Hong Kong. (the type is up to the consulate and we came prepared with inches of my Mexican documentation)  When she got to Mexico it took about 6 weeks for her green card to arrive.  Unlike the US, once you have Mexican Permanent Residency you never have to do anything again (until they change the law ;) )

You can do it in Mexico with just a tourist visa.

Using the residency option and flying into / out of Mexico is a pain.   There is no box on the form for "Residents" - you have to write it in.   No issues at land crossing.
