Woohoo...Post office lost my Divorce decree and w2's mailed to my wife.  The 2 hardest documents to get and i get to track down and redo.  I really wonder sometimes why my wife and I can not be together 🥴

IRS is rejecting me to open an account so i can get transcripts of my w2's.

Next 😑

You are the petitioner.  Your divorce decree "original certified copy" is NOT NEEDED at the interview or NVC stage.  Anything from a tax return is a "copy" by definition.  Scan, email and print locally, is the same thing as a photocopy.  Photocopy is just scan and print in one pass without the email part.  Photocopiers scan and print.  Any form of scan and print yields the same result.

So, yes, you are either wrong, or simply unaware of some basic facts.  Same result.

People who are not capable or do not have the aptitude to read carefully, interpret literally and act accurately, are better off with professional guidance than to try to do it themselves then whine about their mistakes later.  Drop the attitude and you'll get better help here to solve the problems YOU caused.

message from NVC below

Document Submission Received

Your documents have been submitted to the National Visa Center (NVC). If any document does not satisfy submission standards, you will be contacted to submit a replacement for the rejected document. Your case won’t be transferred to a U.S. Embassy or Consulate for adjudication until all documents satisfy submission standards.

Remember: You MUST bring all of your original documents to your interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate so that a consular officer can compare them to the submitted electronic documents. If you do not bring the originals, you will delay processing of your application.

civil documents (birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce certificates) are the original documents they are talking about about needing to bring to the interview.   So the seals/signatures can be validated.

That is just a boiler plate response to all document submissions.

Who is the applicant?  The term "your" is referring to the applicant.

As petitioner you merely an interested third party.

YMMV

*Tax Forms Sent to USCIS

*Divorce decree sent to USCIS.

*Birth certificates sent to USCIS

*Marriage certificate sent to USCIS

*i-864 sent again because the 2 blank pages 9-10 not sent NVC.

All this is the list of one by one NVC keep asking for.  All has been done before.  All required forms from the NVC package has been completed, submitted, accepted and still asking for more paper work.  Has been going on for over a month.

I would prefer just to allow NVC to access IRS information than me trying to locate, scan, and submit documents that have already been submitted.

Also,  I am not talking about New forms. These are all personal files that have all been submitted at one point in time.

I'm sorry I know your frustrated and upset and all this paperwork is nerve wracking and your just wanting your spouse. Sending you a virtual hug.

A W2 is a supporting document.  "Your original documents" is addressed to the visa applicant, not "you" the petitioner.  You read it but failed to apply the applicable context before misinterpreting.  The one document that is both petitioner and applicant document is the marriage certificate, but it's still the applicant''s marriage certificate.

instructions

I agree with the OP, there are a lot of redundancies. I think it's sometimes a case of the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing as far as government agencies are concerned. Like @payxibka said, there is a set of instructions that are to be followed for each step in the process...annoyingly, OP, there are lots of things that we already sent to the USCIS and again must send, per instructions, to the NVC. We just submitted ours today...we followed the instructions...now let's see how things go 😬

Good luck. If you got married in Thailand, make sure to get both the Thai version and the English version of the Marriage Certificate. They provide both if you ask and then you don't need a translation.

That's horrible. I'm sending all originals (same as your lost documents) to my wife this week...this is my biggest fear, that the Thai post will lose them. Our local postal worker often folds our letters up and wedges them in our gate...the wind catches them or it rains and they are gone! Happened many times already. And our mailbox is literally three feet away...The post person doesn't like to get off of his/her motorcycle, so they put the letters in our gate instead 😠
