The RFE I received asking for bona fide evidence listed financial support. And since I have been sending money to my fiancée each month, I sent receipts of that.

Would you be able to provide a copy (with personal information like names, addresses, receipt number, etc. masked out)? That's the first I've heard of this.

Thanks.

Gotcha. It wasn't really about the relationship so much as they weren't convinced about the intent to marry given a prior recent petition.

The RFE lists possible evidence of a bona fide relationship. One us financial support. They aren't looking at the petitioners ability to provide support.. Tax transcripts and the likes. But rather if you have sent your fiance money.. Financial support.

i used the wrong term as i am in AOS and its all about financials....haha...i meant the income requirements, and that is what i sent the tax transcripts, etc...they want to make sure the person wont be a burden on the government and can be supported by the petitoner...which by the way, in my case...took almost a full year to get the work authorization card and still waiting for GC interview...so that extra person bills and no extra income can be ROUGH

The I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) instructions include a checklist of what they are expecting as evidence. It doesn't include, pictures, chat logs, wedding plans, receipts for rings, receipts for wedding dress, it doesn't ask for financial support evidence, it doesn't ask for receipts from your dog's latest shampoo or your NRA membership card nada, zip and zero.

Just a letter of intent and evidence that you met within the last 2 years prior to your submittal.

Read the instructions and use the checklist.

I believe some adjudicators do look for evidence for intent to marry. See several prior posts that say they were given RFE for this. In the past they weren’t very strict, but nowadays evidently they DO look for wedding plans, etc as proof of intent to marry.

That's the beauty of an RFE. It's a chance to "answer" the IO's concern for your case. Not everyone receives an RFE for proof of financial support. So front loading an application is not necessary when the IO has this tool available to them and you are afforded the opportunity to respond to their concerns.  There are many different RFE requests and if you try and cover all your bases then you will have done unnecessary work. Just my opinion and experience. Yes, you will realize a 2-4-week delay in the processing your application, but it wasn't tagged as a NOID it's just an innocent RFE. You can't send the kitchen sink so why try and send something that is not a requirement from their instructions. The saying "do what do will do" fits this process perfectly. Good luck and stay engaged.
