Our interview went without a hitch... well, mostly anyway! end result was APPROVED, and hurry up and wait for the mail, lol. We'll write up a better review tommarow or so.... still a little braindead from the 10h drive home =)

Next step for us i guess, is to review a few other timelines in life, and choose between finishing up our 130, or doing an AOS.... or if there is even a choice.

:thumbs: Still on the phone with Allie he told me all about sitting and talking with you both. We have been wondering all day how you two did today. We were so happy to see that you were approved. We are still on that cloud, I think we will be for a long time to come. We are looking forward to the day I pick him up at the airport and finishing up all the rest of the details and such for our big day July 7th.

Allie wants me to tell you he is glad he got the elavator in working order for you LOL

Keep going with the CR-1. IMHO, the cost of flying back will outweigh the hassles and additional costs of AOS. Your I-130 is already at NVC being processed so stick with it. :)

Congratulations!!! I am planning on going the CR1 route too. Right now both AOS and the CR1 looks like they are gonna cost the same when you factor in Flight back to MTL. However if you file before July30 you could save a few $$ but there is always that possibility that you could get stuck in the black hole called FBI Namecheck (thats what Im worried about)

Congrats :dance::dance::dance::thumbs::thumbs: I was real happy when Lorry told me everything went well for you guys in MTL too. It was a good day for VJ ers in MTL

It was very nice meeting and talking with you guys while waiting. You're a very nice couple and I'm happy we got the chance to meet

I recognized you from the pic you have up on here. I knew for sure you guys were from the VJ Family when we headed to the back of the elevator while the rest stood at the front :)

Yeah that elevator wouldn't co-operate, wanted to keep me there longer I guess LOL LOL . I'm glad I got the darn thing woking right for everyone following after me lol lol

congrats!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
