Ours in 2018 from start to finish was 8.5 months.  The process has fluctuated up and down significantly since I joined VJ 4 years ago...

Yeah the last time I went through this process it was 74 days from NOA1 to NOA2 and 168 days (just under 6 months) from NOA1 to US Entry and there was no rush. Of coarse that was 2011 though.

Well I'm on day 178 for my I-129 and I still haven't made it to NOA2 yet. I'll continue to wait on my approval, hopefully that will be soon. I have talk to tier operator and couple of times and have came of it. So in this case patience is a virtue.

Hello, does this 9months start to finish of k1 visa applies to applicants from Nigeria? thanks

Keep in mind these are estimates only as a whole. Individual times for different countries can be different. We are seeing much longer wait times more after the interview in Nigeria a handful of other embassies then before the interview. Wait times for Nigeria can be more than a year or more after the interview.

This is based on all countries combined- and those that update their timeline. You would help the process Become more accurate if you did so as well.

I think what they are saying is plan for over a year due to the interview time slots there. Plus Nigeria is a “high fraud” country in the embassy eye so they are more critical there which probably plays a role in how long it takes. I say just be patient as hard as it is there’s no way to make anything go faster. Easy to say hard to practice as I’m getting impatient myself but, just have the faith that it’ll be quicker than a year but don’t get discouraged if it takes longer. Also I noticed you don’t have a timeline. if you edit it and submit your information it will give you a rough estimate on when they should process your I-129f. I say rough as it can be earlier or later no one truly knows. Good luck on your journey

Honestly, I'm so impress by your respond.. Your words are straight, kind & encouraging, please keep it up. Also, I wanna say thank you to @Greenbaum for his contribution I learn from it today.. I expect the best of on K1 visa. I find it difficult to update my timeline since I have not start my visa process yet. I will shortly, by God'sgrace

We monitor USCIS and Embassy Processing times and not entirely unexpected due to Covid19 impacts, the California Service Center (CSC) is now taking up to 150 days to process I-129F petitions.  This is a sharp uptick since April but in general we have seen processing times increase from 100 to 150 days in the last 6 months.

After an I-129F petition is approved at the CSC there is now an amazing 30 day wait for the petition to be forwarded to the NVC, where there is a 24 day delay for processing.

All told, assuming a 2 month processing time at the embassy (once they open) the total K1 Visa timeline is currently around 9 months.  Historically this is not a high, but the trend since last year has unfortunately reversed.  In 2019 the K1 processing timeline went down from 10 months to 6 -- largely due to processing time decreases at the CSC -- but is back up to 9 months.

NVC is taking 4 months for case review right now...
