Unfortunately that is a very common occurrence, some people get their cases processed faster than others.

I hope your card arrives soon.

So your 120 days start on April 9th. . .  There was a notice that you should have been handed to you at the consulate or included with your passport/visa packet.  And at the POE they usually ask if you paid.  I take it you didn't try to get your SSN between the time you entered and the offices closing for COVID19.

i got my ssn one month after i entered here

That happens.

I arrived in December 2016 and paid the day I received my visa (a week before I travelled here). A friend arrived here two months after me and got her plastic green card the day before me. It doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with your case. Different offices and different employees work at different speeds.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

please can someone advice me my wife came and ask for my social security number for her to use and file her tax is it proper and more over i have not started working is it something that will affect me in the future thanks to you all

She’s supposed to do that to file your taxes jointly.

Jointly filed taxes can be (one) indication of a valid ongoing marriage.  It doesnt matter if you worked or not.

If you don't have a SSN , many tax advisors can help generate a taxpayer ID which starts with 9- and has the same #of digits.

Hi,

It seems your wife will be filing as married, filing jointly.  For 2019.  There may be an issue if you earned income in your home country in 2019 and your spouse does not report it.  It is a complex matter, with tax credits for double taxation relief and such - I think you may need to discuss it with a tax professional.
