Hello, 

 

We got the notification that my husband does not meet the minimum income requirement for a  sponsor. 

 

2019 he had an income from around 100.000 us$ 

 

How is it possible that this is not enough? When we put in our informations it said he needs to make 49.500 us$ 

 

My daughter (his stepdaughter) and myself are going to immigrate.

What kind of tax information he submitted? tax return transcript  or complete tax return with all schedules?

Tax  returns only indicate what was earned in the past, and are irrelevant to current/future income.  CURRENT INCOME is key for proving the ability to support a new immigrant.

We submitted the 9 pages of tax return. Because IRS wont let him verify his phone. 

 

But we forgot to submit the w2 and 1099 

 

We submitted that today. Plus we submitted pay stubs from the last 6 months (we only had 3 months at the beginning) 

 

Could that be the reason?

Possibly yes. The 1040 without the 1099 or w2 is pretty meaningless.  Tax return transcripts would be better.

Ok thanks. We submitted now everything together again. Hope they will accept it this time.

There you go.......insufficient or incomplete tax documentation could certainly be the issue.

Around the same as last year. It's always between 90.000-110.000$

For your reference, in the USA we use commas. If you use a period it indicates cents, not dollars. Hence you are writing you husband makes $110 a year.

My husband also submitted payslips and got HR to issue a later confirming his employment status and current salary, alongside his W2, tax transcript.
