I have all of my fiancee's and my chats and emails, including e-greeting cards, saved on disk. Over the past 21 months, I have been printing out all the chats and putting them in 3-ring binders (5 full ones so far!!). My original intent is to select one chat and e-mail from each month and print copies to send her to present as evidence of our ongoing relationship at her interview. Has anyone ever presented a CD of the thousands of chats and emails at their interview, besides the hard copies? What does anyone think of this idea?

I don't think USCIS/any Embassy would put an un-checked CD into their computer. You're goal should be to make the package as easy as possible for USCIS and the Embassy to process. Keep the CD for your own records ;)

Wow, if I were you I would print out 5-10 of these emails spanning over time, maybe send a couple cards and some pictures. You don't need to give them massive amounts of information (although I don't know how tough the Phillipines are). If I were you I'd check out the foreign embassy thread for other interview experiences through Manila to see what all people presented :)

I have read that they DON'T LIKE CDs. I would suggest taking just a few emails and chat records (my fiance took 5 each - no more). Overkilling with evidence is not necessarily good. Do what makes you comfortable but remember several hundred applicants are interviewed every day and the average time spent on an interview is bwetween 10 minutes to 30 minutes (my fiance's was 5 minutes) - who has time to dig into each and every piece of email and chats - be kind to the interviewer! Good Luck

I can't see that it would hurt to have a CD but my feeling is that hard copies are better...

Just my $.02

November 2004--I'm on vacation in Italy and met Gabriela at a pizzeria in Venice...it was love at first sight!

2 Weeks Later 2004--changed my intinerary to go back to Venice and see this Romanian girl that I couldn't stop thinking about.

August 30--My sweetie's Birthday! I love you, doll!!!

September 9, 2005--I-129F sent to NSC.

September 15, 2005--NOA1!

October 24, 2005--NOA2!!

November 07, 2005--NVC letter received!!!

Early December 2005--K1 packet gets to the Consulate in Naples but somehow they forgot about notifying us in any way, and apparently replying to emails is just waaaay too strenuous for them...

January 11, 2006--After numerous failed attempts to contact them, Naples Consulate emails packet3.

January 2006--I contact my state senator's office.

March 20, 2006--Gabi has her medical exam in Naples...

March 21, 2006--Gabi has her interview...K1 VISA ISSUED!!!!!

April 18, 2006--I will fly to Europe to get my honey...and never, ever let her go!!!

Ive done the same thing. kept all the logs in my PC or laptop wherever it is easily accessible for me. however i dont think it would be a good idea to send over a CD or 5 3-ring bound folders with all your chat conversations in it. I think what would be the best way to show that you are in constant communication with each other would be to just print out a conversation that transpired at any random day of each month. That's what i submitted in my i-129f petition. I picked a day out of every month, randomly of course then just printed the logs for that day. It may be a good idea also to label in bigger and bolder letters what day or date the conversation had transpired on top of each log. That should be good enough evidence of an ongoing relationship. :) hope that helps. Good luck!

From a computer and system security issue, they cannot, and will not, put unknown software or removable media into a government system, as it could contain a virus or other malicious software. Embassies have even tighter restrictions, as they could be vulnerable to espionage or terrorism.

Print out your evidence, but in moderation.

They only want paper evidence that they can pick up and look at on the spot. You don't need anywhere near that many chats... I chose half a dozen at random from the last two years to take with me.

Karen - Melbourne, Australia/John - Florida, USA

- Proposal (20 August 2000) to marriage (19 December 2004) - 4 years, 3 months, 25 days (1,578 days)

STAGE 1 - Applying for K1 (15 September 2003) to K1 Approval (13 July 2004) - 9 months, 29 days (303 days)

STAGE 2A - Arriving in US (4 Nov 2004) to AOS Application (16 April 2005) - 5 months, 13 days (164 days)

STAGE 2B - Applying for AOS to GC Approval - 9 months, 4 days (279 days)

STAGE 3 - Lifting Conditions. Filing (19 Dec 2007) to Approval (December 11 2008)

STAGE 4 - CITIZENSHIP (filing under 5-year rule - residency start date on green card Jan 11th, 2006)

*N400 filed December 15, 2011

*Interview March 12, 2012

*Oath Ceremony March 23, 2012.

ALL DONE!!!!!!!!

We only communicate via chats. Not to many emails. I don't think in out case printing out out chat logs would be a good idea. Things get rather uhhh... spicy. Do you all think if I just documentend my 5 (soon to be 6) trips there and showed them the thousands of pictures of us together it would be enough? I also support Luz. She has the bi-weekly westernunion receipts from the last 2 years. I also have kept my phone records showing 3-4 calls to her each day. I would think that would be enough?

Ahmed and I do most of our talking via chat, with an occasional email, so that's where most of our evidence comes from too. Talking everyday via chat and email creates quite a large data log, and its hard to decide which conversations best represent your case. I printed 6 random emails and 7 random chat logs for various months and checked them to make sure they didnt contain anything questionable (i.e. comments that were explicit or private, or things that could be misconstrued), and just printed the first couple of pages rather than a 3-hour conversation (in the interest of space). I made sure to circle the time, date, and the to/from portions on the chat logs to make it easier for the adjudicator to read. I felt pretty comfortable with what I sent, since it was a good sample of the big picture. Hope this helps you out a bit. :)
