From the Report of the Visa Office, located at the following Department of State website: http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/statisti...stics_3163.html

Here are the top 20 countries issued a K visa. This includes K1, K2, K3, and K4. I thought there would be more of these issued per year, but clearly I am incorrect.

1	Philippines 7,633
2	Vietnam 3,804
3	China - mainland born 3,676
4	Mexico 3,498
5	Russia 2,100
6	Colombia 2,035
7	Canada 1,459
8	Thailand 1,376
9	Cambodia 1,367
10 India 1,324
11 Ukraine 1,242
12 Great Britain and North Ireland 1,136
13 Nigeria 1,082
14 Pakistan 911
15 Peru 819

Well not everyone who applies makes it to visa issuance. The total number of K-1 visas issued looks to be about 50,000.

Indonesia granted only 145 K visas for fiscal year 2006, interesting.

The total number of K-1 visas issued looks to be about 50,000.

Actually, according to that same site; the breakdown of K visas by year is as follows:

Visa Symbol/Class 2002	2003	2004	2005	2006
K1 Fiance(e) of U.S. citizen 28,338 25,304 29,658 33,910 30,575
K2 Child of K1 4,298 3,752 4,694 5,308 5,013
K3 Certain spouse of U.S. citizen 5,078 12,403 13,623 11,312 10,341
K4 Child of K3 1,294 3,174 3,827 3,438 2,935

So technically, only 30,575 K-1 Visas were issued; but the total number of K Visas for 2006 was 48,864.

Pakistan is roughly 1.9% of the K Visas issued last year. Personally, I'm surprised that Phillipines makes up about 15.6% of the K Visas issued.

Your right I meant all K visas. Used to typing K-1 most of the time I guess.

I remember reading this information and at least it explained to me why there was so little information about the consular process for our consulate. Hungary has issued only 33 for FY 2006. :( Though I'm not sure if this applies to the country where visa was issued, or beneficiary's country of citizenship.

The document title is Nonimmigrant Visas Issued by Classification and Nationality (Including Border Crossing Cards): Fiscal Year 2006,

so that would mean beneficiary's country of citizenship.
