Paying AoS with credit card

Hi guys,

We are concurrently feeling I-130 and I-485 (with I-131, I-765, I-864, I-944) and we've decided to pay those with a credit card because our bank gives us good deals when paying large amounts of money, like this case. My question is, after reading some old threads in VJ, I concluded that it's better to include TWO G-1450 (form for credit card), one in the envelope for the I-130 and the other for I-485 (including the biometric fee) so, how should I indicate clearly that I'm including 2 two G-1450 to pay each form and state that one includes the biometric fees? When you write a check you can easily state that you are paying for I-485 + biometric fees for example, but I do not see space to write something like that in the G-1450. Any idea? I'm getting paranoid with all these small details.

Also please, just to be sure, if I am missing any form in my application let me know,

Thank for all your help.

One G-1450 for total of 1760. Don't confuse USCIS, they don't like it.

G-1450 can be only sent along with your application to lockbox locations.

Authorized amount $1760. Put it on top of your applications. Don't write anything extra on it.

Thanks Nancy! I read a few threads saying that because I-130 might take a different way once it arrives to USCIS... it would be a good idea to issue two G-1450. That is the reason of my question.

If someone paid with credit card recently... what did you do? Did you mentioned it in the cover letter?

You'll send the following four packets in the same envelope:

  • I-130 with I-130A and copy of marriage certificate, G-1450 (for I-130 fee), etc.;
  • I-485 with  I-864 and supporting documents, I-944 and supporting documents, electronic I-94 copy, G-1450 (for I-485+biometric fee), etc.;
  • I-765 with electronic I-94 copy, etc.; and
  • I-131 with electronic I-94 copy, etc.

You'll separate each packet with rubber bands or fasteners: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-information/form-filing-tips

On the G-1450 for I-130 packet put I-130 Petitioner's name in the first row. G-1450 must be the very first page of this packet.

On the G-1450 for I-485 packet put I-485 Applicant's name in the first row. G-1450 must be the very first page of this packet.

I didn't even have a cover letter. You submit concurrently then 1 of G-1450 with total amount is enough.

Ok, @HRQX proposes 2 G-1450 and you one only... I guess either way should be valid.

You have to read the following on the USCIS website and look at the examples.

https://www.uscis.gov/forms/pay-a-credit-card

Multiple/Combined Applications

You must pay separately for each application, petition, or request you file.

You may pay both the application fee and biometric services fee with one Form G-1450.

If you are paying by credit card, submit one Form G-1450 with each application, petition, or request that you submit.

We will reject your entire package if you submit:

  • One Form G-1450 for multiple applications, petitions, or requests
  • A check and credit card authorization to split the payment for the same application, petition, or request
  • A mix of money orders, checks, and credit card authorizations together for multiple applications, petitions, or requests

Great info! But then, if I am submitting the I-130 together with my I-485... is that count like one application, petition or request or two?

We recently submitted our application with the I-130 and I-485. The way we did it is with 2 separate G-1450. They already charged us just last Junr 3rd for both.

This is really helpful! Thanks!

Haven't gotten any email or txt message either. Just keeping my eye on the NOA1 on the mail since many people said they haven't gotten notifications even with the G-1145. I'm taking the charges as a good sign that our applications are received and deemed acceptable.
