New research indicates that extreme protest tactics tend to undermine a movement’s popular support in the United States by alienating both neutral observers and supporters. The findings have been published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.

Makes sense. When people invest in themselves and their local communities, those who are destructive to it tend to find themselves on the **** list. 

 

Personally it makes me suggest we re-evaluate the legal age of adulthood for serving in the military, voting, and so on. As booksmart as more teenagers seem to be, they clearly possess the same kind of social immaturity that adults gladly take advantage of, which is why the left are so galvanized to see them voting younger and younger.

Evidently I deleted a relevant part. I had typed that destructive movements like Antifa, I've noticed, tend to have significant support and sympathies from teenagers and young adults. Part of adolescence and immaturity, growing up, is rebellion, not understanding nor valuing stability, harmony, and clearly there's a matter of social intelligence adequately developing later and later.

Some truth to that maxim. Even as an independent, while a younger adult I was a fan of the DSA, "Peace and Freedom" party (California exclusive I believe). These parties of course would've trainwrecked the Republic as we know it, but I was naive and overly imaginative. Youth = little investment, higher risk; Experience/age= more investment, less risk, more stability. 

 

Even those of us who are more on the liberal side, that maxim still holds, which is why the longer this chaos goes on, the more it hurts their movement. However, time isn't necessarily a friend here because of the warzone-esque stresses many thousands of police, national guard, etc. are dealing with in long shifts.
