there are now over 200 Tim Horton's in the US. I think they're in 5 states now? And its all the same product that we know and love in Canada. Head office for TH is still in Ontario, and everything ships from there. They plan to keep expanding, but I dunno if they'll ever move into Krispy Kreme domain of NC. Hopefully they'll move into WI soon, cuz we're moving there ;)

Hubby drove up to Michigan for a bizness trip a couple weeks ago and brought me home a giant can of Tim's coffee. We're driving up again next week, and a friend here in town who is originally from Buffalo asked us to bring him home some Timmy's

Does anyone know how long a can will stay fresh if unopened? I've been bringing the giant cans down every couple weeks and we have 5 or 6 stock piled (my husband drinks a pot of Timmy every day!!!)

My last day at work in Canada is Friday then I will drive down for the last time == NO MORE WEEKEND TRIPS!!!:dance:

Now, I will have to come back for my furniture once my condo sells... taking sooooo long :crying:

Back to Timmy's.... I was going to bring down another 5 cans or so....

Can the Naturalizatin process be so painless?!!

I think they'll stay fresh for quite a long time if sealed. After all, coffee you buy in the supermarket is fine if you open it months after buying it, provided it's been sealed...you can also store it in the freezer to increase it's longevity.

And happy moving this weekend! :)

If its like other canned goods, it should be ok for up to 3 years I think. There's probably a "use by date" on the can somewhere.

You can buy cans of English Toffee cappucino mix.

That way no withdrawl! ;)

For the record, when we moved me down, we brought several cans of Timmy's coffee with us. :D Dunkin' Donuts just isn't as good, IMHO!

Since we were in Quebec, we also got some yummy poutine cheese. :D This weekend we're having poutine with REAL cheese! Mmmmmmm!!

mmmm poutine. I mentioned what a poutine was to my fiance and friends from connecticut and they were like ####### are u talking about? usa doesn't have pountines? sad.

Well, you can make poutine with shredded cheese, and it's good, just not AS good as when it's made with authentic curds.

My husband makes poutine all the time -- just bakes some fries, heats up a can of gravy and buys some shredded cheese. Seems to work well. He's promised me we can have it often. :D

I think brown (beef) gravy is best myself. Just get a mix of some sort at the grocery store. Back home I used to use Horne's GraVee mix, I even brought some with me when I moved. Now I use Watkins soup/gravy mix tho.

I wish I could get cheese curds here, I think one of the Canadian food websites has it, can't remember which one tho. Always Canadian?...nope, not there...hmm...well, I can't find a Canadian source, but I found a Wisconsin source Your guess is as good as mine if its any good. I tend not to like American cheeses because rubbery, but then, curds are kinda rubbery, so maybe smothered in gravy it won't be so bad ;)

Would chicken gravy work (as I cannot use beef--neither Pras nor I have any taste for it)?
