I'm from Toronto. Our weather is pretty much exactly the same! It's not like Canada is cold year-round but some Americans seem to think it is!

Uh huh I can relate to that. Asked many times about the winter weather all year round. Gimme a break!!

Yeah, I was really surprised when I went to Karen's house the first time and discovered it wasn't made out of ice....

*flick*

Bet the sand castles n' lil umbrellas in the drinks had you baffled then!!!

A little background of me...

I am the other half of David and Karen.... I love you, baby.. !!!!!

Just imagine how I have be on my toes....always??!!

;)

We had drinks with tiny little umbrellas?!?!?!?!....All i remember is how hot your tail looked in that bikini.. B)

Its not just Canadians in teh south who miss Tim Horton's (getting back on topic ;) ) but northern Americans who've moved south as well. We have a co-worker/friend whose originally from New York state and spend several years in Buffalo who asked us to pick up some Timmy's coffee for him when we were driving thru last week.

We stopped in Dayton, OH (there are 4 TH's there) and bought up a bunch of coffee, and a 20 pack of Tim Bits. And a bagel for me. There are no decent bagels down here in NC, they're all mushy and gross :P

We spent a few days in northwest Wisconsin (we may be moving there) and boy is it easy to pick up that accent! They talk funny ;) But easier for me to understand than the North Carolina twang, which has taken me over a year to figure out.

Folks around town here in NC all have said to me "well I guess you'll be used to the weather there, is closer to home" It actually isn't, its a bit further north than Toronto, with more snow and colder, and a longer winter. They don't believe me :P We'll be further from "home" than I am now, but closer to the border. Still no Tim Horton's tho. *sigh*

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
