Ok this doesn't relate to the visa per se but I had to thank whoever it was that suggested the English Toffee Cappuccino from Tim Horton's. I saw it on a thread here last week before I went to Kelowna, BC to visit my fiance. I think I had two of them a day while I was there. Now I will be going through withdrawals. :P

Thought I would let ya know that you can buy Tim's coffee on ebay, it's a little more $ than buying it in Canada. Some guy from New York state sells it on there by the can or case. There is also a couple of Canadian food web sites that sells it as well, but the final price with shipping was cheaper on ebay. We bought a case a couple of months ago after running out...not as good as the real thing brewed at the store, but better than anything I can find in these parts. Funny thing, my american hubby was actually more excited to get it than I was! I do wish they made 18% coffee cream here, makes the coffee taste so much better, half and half just doesn't quite cut it :crying:

Cheers :D

Yes, 18% coffee cream would be nice.

Also, powdered almonds (which I cannot get through CanadianFavourites or AlwaysCanadian).

MMMMMMMM Timmy's!! Their doughnuts are ok, I go mainly for the coffee!! Going back to Saskatoonthis summer for a bit!! have to get my fill again!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

You can buy cans of English Toffee cappucino mix.

That way no withdrawl! ;)

For the record, when we moved me down, we brought several cans of Timmy's coffee with us. :D Dunkin' Donuts just isn't as good, IMHO!

Since we were in Quebec, we also got some yummy poutine cheese. :D This weekend we're having poutine with REAL cheese! Mmmmmmm!!
