Using CPT while waiting for AOS

Hi,

 

I'm currently on F-1 status and just transferred my I-20 to a new Masters degree school. As part of the curriculum, the school allows part-time CPT work authorization. I have already submitted my AOS application with my USC spouse (485, 130, 765, 131) a month ago. Am I allowed to use school-authorized CPT to work part-time until I receive my EAD card from 485? Would this ever come up in an interview or affect my green card application?

Do you have EAD card from OPT? If yes, you can work.

Thanks! but I'm talking about CPT here issued by my masters, so I won't have an OPT card.

I don't see why not if you are allowed to work on campus.
