Could you guys let me know if the following are the correct documents I should ask our joint sponsor to provide?

  • Past 3 years of tax transcripts(we will submit only the transcript for the most recent year)
  • W2 for the past year-she filed jointly
  • Copy of her US passport

We asked her to fill in the I-864 as well.

My questions:

1. Should I also ask her to provide:

  • copy of her driving licence to prove her domicile
  • letter of employment
  • past 6 months of paystubs?

2. Does she need to scan all the pages of her passport or just the biographic one?

3. Any other documents we might need for the affidavit of support and the finacial evidence?

The embassy I will go for the interview is Bucharest, Romania if that matters.

Copy of Driver license, yes.

No need for employer letter if you include just 1 current pay stub as evidence of current employment.

Since she files taxes jointly, it is also best practice to get an I-864a from the spouse, no matter what.  Same documentation from the spouse.
