Rob had his Naturalization Interview today and he is approved!!!!!!! :dance:

The whole process took 20 minutes!

The officer was very nice and chatted with him about a few things on his application and general things such as traffic tickets and coffee. (We are thinking this was to see how well he speaks English) He only had to write one sentence in English and it was this....."Our house is very clean."

She then got a printout from the computer of 10 Civics questions which the computer chose at random and asked him these questions. It seems like he got the easy ones such as.....How many states in the Union (United States)?; What color is the American Flag?; Who is the President?; Who becomes President if the President dies?; Name one of the amendments that guarantees voting rights.; What are the first 10 amendments to the Constitution called?; How many original states were there?; How long is a member of the House of Representatives elected?

She asked him the one about who is President twice and he can't remember the last question she asked. lol

And that was it. She gave him a paper with the date, her name and a checkmark beside the part that says...."Congratulations! At this time you are recommended for final approval as you have met the requirements for Naturalization........" and that he will be notified by letter of when and where to appear for the Oath Ceremony.

So now we wait for the Ceremony and then getting his US passport.

Congratulations. It seems it went very good.

I think "Our house is very clean" is a popular one cause i know somebody else who was aksed to write that too.

How long it took you since you applied for N-400?

K-1/K-2 VISA'S APPROVED IN MONTREAL MAY 2, 2005

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

We mailed Rob's application on March 14.

Did his fingerprinting in April.

In May we got the Notice of when his Interview would be.

June 19 was his interview.

So a total of 3 months. Not bad!!!

Don't know when the Oath Ceremony would be but I am guessing in a month or 2 maybe????

U.S. CITIZEN SINCE MAY 8TH 2008

NATURALIZATION

28th july 2007 - N-400 mailed to VSC

(exactly on the 90th day mark...applications NOT returned although some scared me into thinking they could have!)

30th july 2007 - N-400 delivered to VSC

11th august 2007 - Delivery Confirmation receipt received

17th september 2007 - Money Order (FINALLY!) cashed

9th november 2007 - NOA! (notification period given 180 days)

21th november 2007 - Biometrics appointment letter

18th december 2007 - Biometrics appointment in Baltimore, MD completed

29th march 2008 - FINALLY received letter with interview date!

8th may 2008 H 8:40 AM - Interview in Baltimore-APPROVED!

8th may 2008 H 3:00 pm (yes same day, crazy!) Oath Ceremony in Baltimore

24th may 2008 - US Passport application mailed off

6th june 2008 - US Passport received in the mail!!!
