Just a little timeline so 185 days after POE at JFK and two inquiries and one phone call to uscis my card went into production. On the 190th day the card was mailed and then received the following day via usps.

It's good to see that USCIS is clearing the backlog, in the future should be faster.

No green card received by the 120 day mark. Contacted USCIS in July. No response.

Contacted USCIS again in August. No response.

Received a call from USCIS late August telling us that they have no information on our case and are forwarding our request directly to the processing center.

Received email from USCIS earlier this week saying that the case is moving and being sent for production.

Card production: September 12, 2020

Will update when card is received.

great!

So hubs logged in yesterday and saw this magical notice:

Card Produced - (Non-DACA)

USCIS has produced your Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) and mailed it to the address you provided.

Lets see how long it takes to arrive.  Yesterday, when the message changed, it had been 175 days since we activated our visas.

No e-mail, no tracking.  Guess we're supposed to telepathically know...

ya dont get it, but it took me less than a week to receive the card, faster than i expected.

Actually after I talked to the infomation specialists, only one of them explained that why some entered US from July onwards received the green card within 1-2 months, as if your case exceeded stated 120 days, your case will be automatically moved to "Non-delivery" pool, which will be solved differently from those still within 120 days, and the process will be different.

I also got the feeling that not all specialists have enough knowledge towards issues, it depends on your luck to talk to the good one or bad one. I had a very bad experience on that, but luckily, the last one I spoke to was very knowledgeable and helpful.

If you have USPS Informed Delivery set up, you can see the packages.  Our envelopes appeared yesterday and arrived today.

Even better - we were originally CR status.  We came through the border the day after our 2 year anniversary and I thought for sure I was going to have to send in an adjustment because we should be IR, but I was delighted to see that the status bumped to IR and no adjustments are required!

My husband finally received his green card, after some inquiries to USCIS.

Green card fee paid Feb 25

POE March 4

First contacted USCIS in the web portal after the 120 days passed mid-July, no response

Contacted USCIS again Sept 10 and stated my next step would be to contact my congressperson

USCIS replied the next week and stated the card was in production, and lo and behold...

Card recieved Sept 28

Good luck all... be your own advocate is my best advice!

I'm in the same situation. Greencards were paid in oct 2019! POE was january 16 2020. I received my greencard 6 months after POE. My daughter still hasn't received hers after 10 months! It's ridiculous. Her i551 stamp is going to expire soon.

Exactly how long does this take to arrive?

Entered US on 1st Nov, 2020.

Sounding like a spoilt kid because you guys waited a long time but I just passed my GED and now I'm trying to join the military. Don't think they'll let me with a stamp 😕

The website says 90 days, you guys waited like, 200.

It’s different for everyone. There was a shut down of a green card producing facility this summer, which may have had something to do with our delays. Lately folks seem to have been getting them rather quickly. Fingers crossed for yours, my best advice is be ready to contact USCIS from day 121 (they state it can take up to four months) if it doesn’t show up. And in the meantime, ask a recruiter their opinion, don’t just assume they won’t take your perfectly valid passport stamp. Good luck!

Also check out this forum, folks post their updates there pretty regularly. You’ll see the faster ones I’m talking about, most recently.

My husband entered Nov 6, 2020. And just got his friday November 20, 2020. His POE was SFO. But stil no SSN. We called our local SSA, and they said they dont issue them automatically anymore with the DS-260 form. So apply in person.
