I see the following message in the summary information for my case in ceac state. Does anybody know how long usually  it will take the application to proceed again. thanks.

Due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law, this petition is not eligible for further processing at this time. The National Visa Center (NVC) will retain the petition until an immigrant visa becomes available. The NVC will notify the petitioner, principal applicant, or attorney of record when this petition is eligible for further processing

What is your visa category and what country are you from. It seems your priority date isn’t current and until it is your visa won’t be processed

Hi,

You need to look at the current Visa Bulletin.  For June 2020, Table A shows that the current PD for F4 from India is January 22, 2005.  Table B shows that those with cases before October 1, 2005, may submit documents and fees.

The notification you got is most likely approval of the I-130 and the case being sent to the NVC.  It is not a request for you to submit documents and fees since your PD is Dec. 24, 2014.  It will be around another 9-10 years before the NVC will request documents and fees.  As indicated in your first post, the case will wait at the NVC until it is eligible for further processing - which is about another 9-10 years.

Sorry to disappoint.

You've got around another decade before you'll be able to proceed through NVC. The number of F4 class visas are limited annually, and the line is very long.

Keep checking the Visa Bulletin: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin.html
