Flying to the UK

Hey there! Not sure if anyone is in a similar situation. My fiance is in the UK with his parents. I saw on June 8th (from what I can understand), the UK is allowing citizens and international visitors, but with a mandatory 14 day quarantine. Is anyone planning on going to the UK? I was wondering if I could go for at least a week (I don't think HAVE to stay in the country for two weeks right? or are you required to be there for a certain length of time to even be able to enter?), quarantine with him and his family and the of course have to come back to the US and do another quarantine. Desperate times! LMK your thoughts.

I think the idea is you quarantine before you see them.

But on the gov website it says you are allowed to self isolate with family and friends.

I'm interested in finding out more on this too. I can't take 14 days off from work and figured I'd go for a week, "self isolate" with my SO and go back to the US. If you find out anything let me know :)

I will definitely let you know! I booked a flight for tomorrow! Another girlfriend of mind arrived in the UK on Sunday with literally no problem or questions at all. I think she got lucky since she is not required to isolate since she arrived before June 8! I will update you on Wednesday! I also can't take 14 days off, even though in my state we only just entered Phase 1. Going for 6 days, isolating at his house, and then coming back to USA to do another 2 week quarantine!
