Throughout American history there have been "people worst than animals" not just in 2020 have you ever heard of and or read about Black Wall Street? The Tulsa race riot (1921)...now those were animals. I won't post the link for the story but google it if you care to read how to properly define animals! Racial discussions usually always end bad and I normally try to avoid them, but I just wanted to reply to this post.

That was a piece of history that floored me, I consider myself well read but had not heard of that in my 60+ years until I bumped into it on youtube.

the post reconstruction period is also pretty heinous

HBO recreated the Tulsa massacre for the tv show Watchmen as part of the story line. I think maybe the first time anyone had ever paid it significant attention and most people were very confused about if the events depicted were real or not. A lot of people learned of it that night. It doesn't seem to be something taught about in our history books, and should be.

History books, when it comes to racial history are very skimpy and weak at best. One area where we as Americans tip toe or better yet fail to recount unpleasant but historical true events. It's sad but true and I agree it should be recounted even if that history is unkind  and unpleasant.

The key point is "history". Presenting those things as relevant in 2020 in the context delivered today has nothing to do with racial inequality, should not be treated as such.

The outrage and desire to see the cop pay was universal, something seen as not possible even several decades ago. Any honest discussion would take into account the overwhelming progress but somehow that acknowledgment is entirely absent and America is treated like the slavery era never ended.

The political dishonesty is clear and need not be tolerated. Using other races as political fodder is pathetic but clearly not beyond the woke demographic, just clear they don't give one fat ####### about blacks or anyone else but getting their way. It's why when they demand others kneel they're standing, very symbolically about making others literally bend the knee. Not a chance.

Are the 4 police in Minneapolis being charged? Are they under arrest?

If they are acquitted then there is reason for unbridled anger

the purpose of the RIOTERS has been satisfied, no one is arguing the righteousness and legality of the protesters. Police. Civic leaders, Democrats independents Republicans. Asians, Blacks and Whites Christians, Jews and Muslims have decried the murder of Mr Floyd, there is no disagreement among rational humans.

You are honestly ok with this violence?  If so I would not count you in the rational human group

Nobody in their right mind should be ok with the violence. Anyone who is should get themselves checked.

It's people over property don't you know. Also I was told yesterday that Law and Order is only in reference to property but not over people.

No one is defending them because the murder was caught on video. However people do recognize it is a systematic issue with law enforcement, and if there were no cameras, chances are this would have all been swept under the rug like many other cases we have heard about. The officers would have a short stint on desk duty and Mr. Floyd would have been deemed to have died from pre-existing health conditions. It's been a pattern for too long.

Dont disagree but also in some cases young black men get killed by the police and its jsutfied, yet we still have riots, looting and stealing. Michael Brown comes to mind as does Treyvon Martin who was shot while beating someones face into the pavment yet the same reaction
