What I don’t understand is why there are 12 more deaths to honor a man who was unjustly killed, no one is against the protest, they are against the wanton destruction and crime in the name of justice

there are peaceful protestors and there are those who are not peaceful, they do not take away the validity of those who are protesting

when those murderers are found i have no doubt they will be brought to swift justice (evidence of the system working) unlike many cops and rogue militia members/terrorists (evidence of the system not working because of the accused's privilege, prompting the protest in the first place).

Actually, the rioters and the looters do divert from the message the peaceful protesters are trying to convey.  That is really the sad thing, that these unlawful actors are doing everything to take advantage of a situation to the point that no one will hear the message from the peaceful protesters.

yes because when their killers are found they will be promptly arrested with no union or chain of command to protect them lol

im not sure some of you understand why people are protesting

Isn’t this what is happening in Minneapolis with these four cops?

divert !== taking away the validity of a constitutional right thats been ingrained in the values of our nation since the boston tea party. if you chose to focus on looters that is on you and indicative of the perspective you personally choose to focus on, not anyone else.

the protest will continue if the police are not convicted like any other person who commits a crime or there is big/nationwide police reform. as the protests show people in almost all 50 states want assurance that police have limits

Thee are people in all 50 states that want to rid the US of police altogether.  As I stated, the rioters and looters are silencing the message the peaceful protesters are trying to convey which is quite sad.

ok and they dont have a presence as strong and as big as the protestors. we could do whataboutisms all day

rioters are silencing the bigger issue... TO YOU

the continuance of protest across the nation and internationally refutes your personal opinion however.

Then it goes back to my earlier comment, why aren’t they protesting for David Dorn, or David Patrick Underwood?

Collateral victims are never mourned, they are the expected results of these events. You are talking to a one-way wall here, you disagree therefore you lack understanding, remember, easier to only support your own view despite any contrary evidence, please maintain their agenda so that they can point to themselves as above it all

lol ive stated in 2 posts already why but apparently that answer is not good enough for either of you. ill try once more

the people who killed those individuals will be quickly brought to justice when they are found. there is no need to protest what will already be lawfully handled. police officers have no problem arresting non-police/non-police adjacent/privileged people

people are protesting for police reform + to ensure cops/right wing terrorists dont keep getting away with murder via police officers, unions, prosecutors, judges,  etc. you both are choosing to ignore this fact which ironically why the protest are happening in the first place

clearly this will be a cyclical discussion where both of you will keep skipping over this nuance for your own personal bias so have a great thursday fellas/ladies lol

Are the 4 police in Minneapolis being charged? Are they under arrest?

If they are acquitted then there is reason for unbridled anger

the purpose of the RIOTERS has been satisfied, no one is arguing the righteousness and legality of the protesters. Police. Civic leaders, Democrats independents Republicans. Asians, Blacks and Whites Christians, Jews and Muslims have decried the murder of Mr Floyd, there is no disagreement among rational humans.

You are honestly ok with this violence?  If so I would not count you in the rational human group

They have been charged. If they're acquitted then the justice system has failed imo.

And I agree with you as I stated, until then, no need for violent riots

no i am not

but i will not be surprised if this continues for a while, people are out of work and have seen the system fail too many times since Trayvon Martin to just go back home because there was an arrest.

its foot on neck season at this point for many. they want to see real change and have nothing better to do with their time. election coming up makes people even more prone to state their demands

I hope you are wrong ,,,

personally I will trust in the goodness of the 95% and act accordingly
