I think more than half was all the bank and credit card statements. But they want it right from marriage, so it was literally almost 3/4 years. the fact that American Express sends like 10 page statements for each month doesn’t help either.

true that! why does amex do that? so many notices and info - it's like 3 pages of actual transactions, then 7 pages of legalese. i ended up sending just quarterly statements for my bank and credit cards. if they need more than that, then will probably send me an RFE. also, i know they said they wanted single sided printing, but i printed double sided for those legalese to try and minimize the number of pages in my packet.

Do they say that ? For the petition and the main documents i did keep then single side per page. But for evidence/proof many of then are double sided for example cc statements or mortgage deed etc, otherwise it would have been a 15lbs package.

Edit: after posting, i did i search on USCIS site,  i guess even for supporting documents they prefer single sided prints

Hi,

Back on VJ after almost 2 years!

I mailed our I751 on 6/9 and it was delivered by USPS on 6/11. The check hasn’t been cashed yet and no NOA received yet.

However, after reading this thread I am now extremely concerned that I didn’t send enough evidence. I had zero issues with any paperwork when applying for the CR1 - everything was smooth albeit not very timely. The package I sent was less than 1lb in weight although I included lots of joint evidence and affidavits. How quickly will I receive an RFE if I have not sent enough evidence? My CR1 green card expires on 9/6.

Thank you!

nope, i think that's 2 days too early. we have the same expiry date, and when i calculated it for me some time back, i think it was may 30th as the first day of the window. some months have 31 days so you have to account for those extra days.

Mailed packet on June 7,  2020. Nothing so far, checks not cashed. I didnt send it certified which I guess I should have, but we have plenty of time. We still have like 80 days to file.

Anyway, I didn't include any photos or anything from our wedding etc etc because they didnt seem to care about any of that stuff during our K1 interview. What they seemed to really want to see was banking finance and insurance info, so I included joint taxes, two joint credit cards, joint primary checking account, engagement ring insurance in wifes name, a joint loan, that she's my 401K beneficiary, her name on the lease of our old apt, her name on the house insurance we just bought.

I really think that should be enough. What say you?

I think it looks to be enough, they do love joint financial statements and ownership. :)

I'm also not sure if I'll include photos - they also didn't care much for that during the interview, but that might depend on the person interviewing. Did you include plane tickets or evidence of traveling with your wife?

I included nothing like photos or plane tickets or any of that. I mean, if I have her on my insurance, what does it matter that we went to NYC together? BF/GF travel together, only spouses are on each other's insurance. And credit cards. And bank accounts.

After reading through a few of these threads, I do wish I had include 1) a marriage certificate and 2) a copy of my wife's passport with her name changed.
