Based on my own experience, I think if you havent gotten your extension it's most likely that your case is ready for the interview. Friend of mine who filed around the same time I did got her extension but no fingerprints yet. We think her case is not ready yet for interview/approval so that's why she was sent that extension and I wasnt, given my fingerprints had already been taken.

But, I dont want to give false info here, so I'd just try calling USCIS maybe to see about that. Hopefully it means you're almost done!

We have been waiting for interview since October 2020. Today, we received our 24 month extension without even asking for it.  Our receipt # starts with MSC, which I believe is Missouri.

That’s good. I see you had biometrics in March of 2021?  On our case, my husband did not have to do biometrics. They used fingerprints from before. Well, one good thing is we can now renew his DL when it expires once again in March. How about you?  Also, did you have a interview for AOS?  We did in Atlanta back in September 2018.

I didn’t do AOS.. CR1. Therefore we will need an interview, as long as they hold this policy up.
atlanta is unfortunately one of the busiest office..

i actually would’ve had my bio in December last year, however, they weirdly had an issue putting our apt number on the letter. So I had to ask the representative to step in because nobody would ever know anything about my case..

alas! I hoped we would be lucky and get diverted to Alabama..sigh

We received our 24 month extension last week, so not sure when we would get the interview letter. We filed our application in June 2020 and had the biometrics in July this year. We are based in Wisconsin, so mostly likely the interview will happen at Milwaukee office (not sure how busy this office is).

We we were planning for an international trip for 2 months, so not sure what happens if our interview gets scheduled while we are away. Is it very difficult to reschedule interview, in case we are overseas? Also does the case status change once interview gets scheduled?

thank you

Filed my ROC in June 2020,and N400 in June 2021...nothing since then..just got a notification last week that my application is moved to another office..next day I got another notification that its moved again to an office that has jurisdiction...while waiting for letter of movement...I got 24 month extension instead....where exactly is USCIS driving us all too...

Mayb a frustration island..I keep wondering why not issue ROC OR Citizenship to all instead of spending tax payers money to print an extension for all us...

Confused system

I have the exact same timeline and received the same updates a week ago with case being moved twice. I have seen people in Facebook post the same. I guess they were going through some backlog recently…

Got notification this morning that USCIS (NE) closed my case as we filed to early in 2020 we filed 2 months before the 90 day window. Frustrated to say the least as they waited 18 months to do so.

tier 1 agent told me I can write a letter for them to open it but who knows if that will work. Anyone have any advice?

Sorry that happened to you. There is not much of an appeal process for an i751 application.

The best thing to do would likely be to refile your i751 in the near future. You will need to enclose an explanation for the late filing (if a joint i751 application) along with your evidence of good faith marriage, filing fee, biometric fee and update i751 application. If you can file a waiver i751 there is no time limit on when they can be filed.

If you don’t refile an i751 your case will go to immgration court.

Did they send your packet back?  Did they cash your check?
