This was back in July'20, when waiting 40-50 minutes would connect you to a person eventually. They seem to have changed the system now as I've not been able to connect to a rep off late. Try jabbing the same digits repeatedly and it sometimes puts you in the line for a rep

Thanks for the response. Your signature doesn't have the date on which online status changed to "Case Ready to be Scheduled for Interview" and the interview date - which I needed to plan my trip back to USA 🙂

Sorry, I thought I had updated it. It arrived 5 days after i received the email that case was ready for an interview. I am now waiting for the letter to arrive to know the interview date...

Our ROC has a ready to be scheduled for interview date of October 7, 2020. Anyone else been waiting this long?

Had the interview with my spouse at the Phoenix service center on Friday. The officer was disappointed that we did not bring the original of our marriage certificate. At the end he gave us a printed letter saying "...the request to remove condition has been recommended for approval....after final review and approval, you will receive your new Alien Registration Receipt Card (Firm I-551)...."

 

The officer said they will be running some background checks with the FBI before ordering the print of my new green card! and that I should now just wait for the card in the mail which can take a few weeks due to the backlog, sigh!!

 

Today I just went ahead and submitted my N-400 that I have been saving all this time

The biometrics adventures continue.

 

Heard back from senator's office who said they couldn't help. 

Then, got a call back from a Tier 2 agent who did not care to help either, basically just said to continue waiting. Got this lovely automated email after the call:

Your case is awaiting the required biometrics submittal, and is currently in suspense until you complete this process. Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for biometrics at their local Application Support Center (ASC). Biometrics appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the ASC. Once you have been scheduled for an appointment, you will receive an ASC Appointment Notice to appear at a certain date and time at your local ASC. You must take the ASC Appointment Notice and photo ID to your appointment. 

 

Very frustrating that everything is basically stuck and that nobody cares to help or make the ASC accountable for the insane delays.

Just received Biometrics Appt set for May 24th. Local office is NJ/NY.

 

I am not sure if my request to speak with the second tier officer did the trick. I spoke with an agent on April 22nd asking for an update on my application and she gave me the usual generic answer. I requested to speak with tier 2 officer regarding this. She warned that they won't be of much help but proceeded to put a request through. Got a call on April 28th from tier 2 officer saying he is calling to schedule biometrics appointment. I am sure it hadn't been scheduled until he called because he specifically said he is calling to schedule. Although he said I should receive email confirmation about it, never received it. Called again the next day to USCIS toll free in order to confirm if the appointment was really scheduled. The agent said that it was scheduled but the letter had not been mailed yet and asked me to wait a week to receive the letter or call back. Got the letter in my mail yesterday.  

 

For those of you waiting for biometrics in NY/NJ area try calling the agent and asking for tier 2 officer. It could be of some help.

What did you say to tier 2 for him to agree to schedule the biometrics appointment? The tier 2 agent I talked to didn’t care and just said to continue waiting.

Didn't say anything, picked up the call and he immediately said he's calling from USCIS and is calling to schedule biometrics. He proceeded to ask general COVID questions before he can schedule it (have you been exposed to COVID etc etc) and then said he is scheduling on May 24th.

Good luck!! Where is your local office? Some other MSC filer from NY/NJ area had applied a week before me (Jun 4th 2020) and got biometrics on May 21st without any call so it could be possible they were in line for our application and the tier 2 call could be just a coincidence.
